I stopped in at PJ and Dave's yesterday. Dave was showing me pictures of his two lizards.... OMG, how cute....
The guy on the right has his "hand" on the other and probably whispering sweet nothings to him. or her. ??? (gay?) Or maybe he's saying, "Don't worry, I won't let these 'homans' hurt you". !!!
We were riding in our golf cart. Maggie enjoys it so much!

Ocean Mist is the name of the company that grows Globe artichokes in Castroville Ca. In my estimation, the Globes are the best.

I went to the Law Enforcement/Fire luncheon yesterday at the Elks. We had a good time. Afterwards two of the wives, Jeannie and Candy, met us in the bar for a glass of wine. On my way home I stopped at the car wash (ATTENTION So. Oregonians... it will rain now!) and got the beast cleaned. Then a stop at a new vegetable/fruit stand in RR. Wasn't impressed. The asparagus was showing signs of age and wasn't kept moist. I did, however, buy some and brought it home and put it in water. It improved by the time I cooked it. Also got a beauty of an artichoke and some nice white mushrooms. Don't think the guy is going to make it with his business.
Dinner was awesome. My neighbors/friends Cindy and Frank gave me some FRESH caught salmon they got from a friend of theirs. Beautiful fillets.
So, I put the salmon in a pan with water, added some sea salt, Bob's Seasoning Salt, pepper, and drizzled in some lemon infused olive oil. I poached it for 12 minutes. Perfect! Then I sauteéd the asparagus and mushrooms with olive oil and salt and pepper. Super dinner! Gave Harley a bit of the salmon and he was in Heaven.

Do you think the French came up with the idea to counter Cinco de Mayo with a European holiday? Wonder what they eat there.
Cinco de Mayo was born in California. So it may be of Mexican descent, it was born in the USA. Salud!

Ah, Happy Cinco de Mayo, the first date Ponch and I set for a wedding day. Oh, well. Mexico earned its independence from France on this date some year or another. Well, Ernie, brother-in-law, came today to take boxes to his garage ... one week and we'll be moving. Took street routes off computer in case of accidents, etc. We pay by the hour regardless of circumstances!
