Rain! ~ Puppy Maggie ~ Pharmacist Day

Good 37º raining morning. So far  14/100ths inch.
Yawn, up too early, but my fault, went to bed about 9pm.

All day yesterday it was cold. Bone chilling cold. Dave, the UPS driver, and I agree this is the longest spell of COLD we can remember. By 2:45 the sun was up there but couldn't break through....

And then by almost 5pm the sky changed again...

Came across this picture yesterday.......
OMG, my Maggie was such a baby girl....
Riding up there on the mule with her dad. So precious.
And my little love today.....

I spent the day doing "projects" and going through old photos. Fun.

No special meals, oatmeal and an orange for breakfast, soup for lunch and dinner. Today I will continue with my "projects" (to be revealed at a later date).

Historically this date.............
1915 – The United States House of Representatives rejects a proposal to give women the right to vote.  (Adam Henrys!)
1991Gulf War: An act of the U.S. Congress authorizes the use of military force to drive Iraq out of Kuwait.
2006A stampede during the Stoning the Devil ritual on the last day at the Hajj in Mina, Saudi Arabia, kills at least 362 Muslim pilgrims.    :o(
2010 – The 2010 Haiti earthquake occurs killing at least 230,000 and destroying the majority of the capital Port-au-Prince.

And births this date include.... (some real doozies!!)
1737John Hancock, American merchant, statesman, & Founding Father; 4th & 13th President of the Continental Congress; and 1st & 3rd Governor of Massachusetts (d. 1793)

1876Jack London, American author (d. 1916)

Interesting read. What a life! Short.

1905 – Tex Ritter, American country singer and actor (d. 1974)

1923Ira Hayes, US Marine (d. 1955)

1951Kirstie Alley, American actress

1951 – Rush Limbaugh, American radio personality, author and political commentator

1954Howard Stern, American radio personality and author

(Gag, gag, and more gagging!!!)

1968 – Heather Mills, British activist and model

(Poor Paul!)
All I know. Been fighting with the computer already. Frustrating me to no end! Have a good Wednesday. Ciao.

Good morning, Sue. Well, I can relate to mornings I am up too early, but today I slept in to when Dick got up about 6:45 a.m. Now enjoying my first cup of coffee. The pictures of Maggie are just too precious. How old is she now? Our weather is starting to warm up, will be 79 by this weekend.

Morning- Your Maggie grew up well):-

If John Hancock is in his grave- he is spinning over at the state of penmanship (and spelling) today

Do pray it warms up a bit for you. Where is global warming when you need it?

Ohhhhh Sue!
I am totally in love with Baby Mags! What an adorable pooch! She looks so much like our beloved Honey at that age. That is a priceless pic of her and Jerry!
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY El RushBo! Another favorite Cappy! Funny Howard Stern's bday is the same day. I won't claim him as a fellow Cappy! :(
So agree with Lydia re penmanship today! They don't teach it anymore. The kids learn to print and continuing printing always. Makes me furious! Wish I had taught my boy cursive myself. They do know it and do it well but far more comfortable printing!!

Have a good day and stay warm!
