National Ice Cream Sandwich Day is a time to enjoy a cold ice cream sandwich.
In July and August, we find many special days for one kind of ice cream or another. The ice cream sandwich is so popular, and tastes so good, that it earns its own special
Ice cream sandwiches have been around since the early 1900's. Vanilla, chocolate and a combination of the two, are the most popular. You can make homemade sandwiches. Just put some ice cream between a couple wafers, and.. ...Voilá! Don't have wafers? That's okay. Put some ice cream between two of your favorite cookies.

Today’s five facts about ice cream sandwiches:

  1. The 30-44 age group buys the most ice cream sandwiches.
  2. The average number of ice cream sandwiches eaten per second nationally is 48.
  3. The ice cream sandwich ranks as the second best-selling ice cream novelty in America.
  4. If all the ice cream sandwiches made last year were placed end to end, they would circle Earth 3 1/2 times.
  5. The eastern seaboard consumes almost 50 percent of all ice cream sandwiches.

I just read the bio of Carrol O'Connor. He was never the same after his son committed suicide. He even got the Calif. legislature to pass a new law where you could sue the drug dealer for the death of a loved one. I agree they should be thrown in prison for a good long time but the person taking the drug should take personal responsibility.

O'Connor was right. You DO need to "spy" on your kids and keep a close eye on what they are doing until they are grown and movie out. By the way, I have read about him before and in real life his politics were the opposite of Archie Bunker. In other words, he was a lib!!

By golly when we get home from vacation I will order some Schawn and more Omaha. Does the Schawn come frozen like Omaha?

The trouble with drug use T is that they can't take responsibility since most of them never had responsibility for anything anyway. Stupid got more stupid!

Yes, the Schwans comes frozen too. xo

Triple OINK is right.

Peter O'Toole said an actor's most valuable tool is his voice- his was most remarkable.

I forgot to mention- congratulations on Tucker's golfing. Our boys started together- at 6 and 9. A good investment in life skills learned in the outdoors.

The avocation I miss most in life is golfing: but not in this sauna weather.

Always liked Peter O'Toole too, L. Brian is an awesome golfer and he and Tucker love it. Right about this weather, time for indoor swim or playing pool!!! xo
