Rain ~ Chilly Day Cuddly Bruiser ~ Singing Police Bear ~ Omelett ~ Tahoe Snow ~ Gar Austin ~ Nancy Sinatra ~ Hamburger/Microwave Grill

Good 48º raining morning...

Yesterday it stayed cool. I even turned on the heater when it had warmed to 60º! Two years ago it was 100º! Then by 2:30pm it was a whopping 64º! By early evening, while watching the news etc, Bruiser cuddled up in my slipper!

My singing police bear just showed up. Fun!!!
Now if only they came with tan and green uniforms!

Here is the website for all the singing ones.... military, patriotic, doctor bear, nurse bear, fire bear.....
Breakfast.... a Schwans ham and cheese omelett. I heated some undiluted cream of mushroom soup and put on top. Super good and fast and easy!!

My nephew Jimmy and his bride Melinda live at Tahoe... Here are two pictures of their house 30 days apart. First one was March 7th and the second June 7th. What a difference!!!

Special birthday today.... Gar Austin (LASD ret) HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAR! I hope you have a GREAT day!!!!

Birthday boy, Neil Ornstein whose birthday was the 8th, as well as Nancy Sinatra's, shared this story of when he worked for LASD....
"WORKING MALIBU, WE GET A BURGLARY CALL OR ALARM
(FORGOT WHICH) AND ARRIVING WE FIND IT IS THE
HOME OF NANCY SINATRA.
HER HOUSE IS ON PCH AND IT IS ON STILTS, APPROXIMATELY
50 FEET ABOVE THE BEACH.

WELL EVERYTHING WAS CODE 4, BUT SHE BITCHED AND
MOANED AT US, BECAUSE OUR CHOPPER WAS HOVERING OVER
THE BEACH AT HER LIVING ROOM LEVEL, OBSERVING US
THROUGH THE SLIDING GLASS WINDOW AND MAKING NOISE!
Malibu 109a strikes again!!"

She sounded like a typical spoiled brat, wants the police to help, but don't bother me with your standard procedures! Sometimes nothing works!

Later dinner was a Dave's Killer Hamburger bun topped with a microwave grilled hamburger patty.

You preheat the "grill" for 3 minutes and cook the burger in it for 4 minutes.

Topped it with provolone cheese, tomato, baby spinach, and mayonnaise.

What a dissapointment that microwave grill was! DON'T BUY ONE. The Power Air Fryer is much superior!!! I got suckered into buying this watching "as seen on TV". Looked like it "grilled" but it doesn't! FUEY! Although, the hamburger with all the fixin's was good, just the meat did not make me happy.

LOL:

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

Good morning. The clouds have blown in- the air feels like the beach.

One of Nancy Sinatra's daughters, Amanda Erlinger, is an artist. When I met her she lived in Laguna- just a wonderful, sweet woman with that wonderful sense of color which comes with living near the ocean.

I'm sorry the microwave griller was a disappointment for you- but it was a service to warn the rest of us.

Tea Day? Kenny and Shannon gave us an iced tea maker. At the time I thought it silly- just use the sun. Turns out this makes excellent tea so much faster. We both like it sweet. To boost flavor- Mint or lemon? We grow both. a

I almost clicked on the "grill" link until I read your evaluation! After all, I did buy an air fryer based on your recommendation and love, love, love it!!!

Glad you are getting some cooler air, L. Yes, be warned. Only so far the air fryer is worth it!!! Mmmm... an ice tea maker. Sounds great! xo

Yes, that air fryer is so awesome! xo

I love my Air Fryer too. Not so thrilled with my George Foreman Grill. Some things just need a bit of grease to cook properly but it all drains away on the grill.

Well learn something new every day. I have always thought Prince Phillip was German. I read his bio. So interesting. Last night John and I watched "The White Princess". We have watched three episodes. Terrific. I am thinking all those royals are so inter married that they say none are too bright! I think that's Prince Charles' problem! Hopefully the Queen will pass over her son in favor of Prince William as her successor. Can't stand the thought of that woman Charles is married to becoming the Queen! :(

I make wonderful ice tea by just boiling water and adding tea bags. Used to use loose tea and strainer but tea bags are easier.

Hugs, XOXO Trisha

Love Ice tea. We moved to Georgia due to an airline merge back in the late 80's and found ice tea as popular as coffee. A restaurant we frequented would set out a small bucket of ice for your tea. Also, thought that quip by mom that her son
can't have it both ways was so spot on...hehe.

Arlon, I have always loved ice tea, but in the south they put too much sugar in it. I like mine with lemon only. xo
