~ Rain ~ Friend's Recoveries ~ Taqueria La Guacamaya ~ Gator ~ No Diet Day ~

Good 42º cloudy morning.

Yesterday the sky got dark, it got windy, and looked like rain any minute... then, low and behold, we got rain!

Good news all around. Two friends who fell and broke their hips recently are doing better than expected. One had total hip replacement, the other had her's held together with pins.

The friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer is totally cancer free now!

Yesterday I went into Grants Pass to have Leah do my hair and then some shopping at Safeway. Back in Rogue River I stopped at Taqueria La Guacamaya to get a to-go Cinco de Mayo dinner.

Special birthday today... email pal 'Gator' down in Florida. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GATOR!!!

Dinner was a chicken tamale, chicken soft tacos, chips, salsa, rice and beans....

Julio makes the BEST tamales. STUFFED with shredded chicken and a thin masa. Just pure Heaven!

Because today is International No Diet Day I just wanted you to understand...

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

International No Diet Day

International No Diet Day encourages us to appreciate the bodies we have. You could consider it a "Big" backlash against becoming little (err thin) people. This day is intended for us to appreciate the body we have. It encourages us to recognize that people come in all shapes and sizes....... and that's okay.
Anti-diet groups exist to assist and support people who suffer illnesses like anorexia, in their efforts to shed fat and be thin.  In addition to anorexia, other medical problems can result from taking diet pills, and surgeries, such as stomach stapling, to control weight.
International No Diet Day is a good opportunity to re-assess and evaluate your weight management goals and perspective, and to make certain your efforts to be thin don't come at a risk to your health. If you decide that continuing your diet is right for you, then use today to take a one day break.

Remember the old saying: "You're body is your temple." In your efforts to make your temple a thin one, do so in a safe and healthy manner.

Good morning. Looks like you are going to be sharing "your" rain with us.

Glad to see Gator and Miss June are still newlyweds.

Hi L, rain is better than drought any day. The gloom is not fun, but better than a lot of other things I can think of! xo

I love that you found an alligator for No Diet Day on Gator's birthday! LOL Too cool!

I love his what looks like white, pink with a touch of red sports shoes! I remember that photo of them but didn't remember the shoes.

You dinner looked yummy! Of course I prefer crispy tacos and that's what we had last night. I made tacos, refried beans and beef seasoned rice. (My guys got to where they didn't much like Mexican rice).

Great news about your friends!!

Hugs you all! Trisha
