Last night my cocktail was something new... Limoncello Creme... imported from  Italy. OMGOOOOOD!!!

Then dinner was a cheese stuffed portabello mushroom (from Safeway) and an Omaha Steaks sirloin, cooked in the Air Fryer drizzled with olive oil...

                            I love those mushrooms! Perfect!!

Then it was chair, wine, Rookie Blue, and Blue Bloods on the TV.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

April 13th
National Peach Cobbler Day

Peaches are one of America's favorite fruits. When you put it into a cobbler recipe, you've got a treat, of which people will be asking for seconds.
Peach Cobbler is a deep dish fruit pie, made with peaches and biscuit (or it's equivalent). While it is best to served hot, it is still delicious consumed cold, too.
Back in the 1800's, American settlers travelling to the west, did not have the ingredients to make a then popular suet pudding. They used peaches and dough to cobble together this tasty fruit pie.
For the record! The largest Peach Cobbler ever made, was baked at the Georgia Peach Festival in 2007. It measured 11' X 5' and 8" deep.
Peach Cobbler Day was created by the Georgia Peach Council in the 1950's, to promote the consumption of canned peaches. Canned peaches can be enjoyed any month of the year. This helps to answer the placement of this special day in April, when fresh peaches are not available.
This is referred to as a "National" day. However, we did not find any congressional records or presidential proclamations for this day.

We also had Omaha sirloin steaks for dinner last night. I cooked four so I did them in a skillet. Also baked taters, broccoli and watermelon chunks.

The inventor of Scrabble should have just left off his last name and gone by his middle name. At boarding school there was a bully who used to make fun of MY last name. Can you even imagine this??? Her name was Nancy Butts! LOL

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADELE!! She is a FB friend. :)

I've said it before but you sure do look like your mom!

Last names can be rude when pinned with a first name... like Jerry's cousin Ima Hogg. WHAT????? He had a stupid relative!!! I may look like my Mom, T, but don't have her personality... more like my Dad!!! xo
