Good 45º raining morning.
OMGOSH, one month til Christmas!!! Best hop to it.
Wednesday my car was ready for pick up. YEAH! That little compact was just too small. I am a happy camper to have the big guy back! They had to replace seals, bearings, drive belt, and gaskets. All under warranty. Good thing!
Then I went to the post office to pick up a package. In it were the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts I ordered from Amazon...
OMGOSH I love these!!!! OINK. I ordered them from Amazon but they were shipped directly from Hawaii. And when "nuts" are mentioned, Brian always says, "Awwwwww nuts!" :o)
Thanksgiving dinner yesterday was at The Vine. Dustin and his wife Ashley put on quite the spread!
^Ashley on the far left in the doorway
^Tucker in the buffet line
^Family and friends
^Sami the "olive connoisseur"
^Awesomely good food: turkey, ham, red potatoes, yam casserole, stuffing, and mashed potatoes with gravy. YUMMMM!
I made some of Mom's Biscuits and took them to dinner... just fyi:
Baked them at 350º 35 minutes. With my altitude here it takes a bit longer. I'm at 1200' and it does affect cooking times. I am going to experiment with these by slitting open each roll and adding some Parmesan cheese and maybe something else... we'll see. I have done that before and cooked the biscuits in the waffle iron. They come out crispy on the outside and soft cheesy on the inside.
Earlier in the day these guys were prancing around my yard, feeling good I imagine, none of them were being roasted and served!

Today is National Parfait Day.
A parfait consists of layers of ice cream, whipped cream, and any combination of syrups and fruits. Yes, it's basically a fancy word for a sundae. And, it's usually served in a fancy glass.
Celebrate this day by eating Parfaits. While chocolate is by far the favorite, use your imagination to create a wide range of single and mixed flavors.
Savor your favorite flavor of parfait, as you enjoy National Parfait Day.
