Mo' Rain ~ 10-2 ~ Republican/Democrat Support ~ Terri Prim ~ Sally Mosley ~ Ronnie Lancaster ~ Sunday Football ~ Sole Almondine/Corn On The Cob

Good 44º raining morning.

Between yesterday morning's 1/4" of rain and what we got so far today, we're up to 1/2".

Stayed cloudy and cool all day. Warmed to 66º.

In our "radio code world" today, 10-2 means 'receiving well'.

Some people have no understanding of this:

Two special birthdays today... Terri Prim, former station secretary/boss at Avalon Station! HEY Terri, have a GREAT birthday!!!

And special friend, Sally (Mosley) Harwell (aka Sally Jr) granddaughter of retired LASD Sally Harwell is celebrating her big 29th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!!!

I honestly don't know what the problem is with the size of the type. It has me frustrated beyond words. I keep working on it and nothing changes. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..............

And on this date 5 years ago dear friend and retired LASD Ronnie Lancaster passed away. Miss you Ronnie!!! (Photo from 2010 LASD Reunion)
When working at Temple Station, Ronnie, Jerry, and Steve Voors were roommates.

Football today and Monday night:

Dinner was (Omaha Steaks) Sole Almondine and corn on the cob, cooked in the Air Fryer... sprayed with butter and drizzled with olive oil and seasonings, 370º 15 minutes.

Perfect!!! I drizzled olive oil and some seasonings on the fresh baby spinach. Made the perfect bed for the sole.

Wine, chair, TV. Exciting Saturday night!!!  :o)

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

Name Your Car Day
Does your car have a name? Lots of people name their cars. People with big boats, name their boat, and we think nothing of it. So, why not name your car or truck!?
Every car has character and personality. We spend a lot of time in our cars, and caring for them. So, its only fitting that each car gets its own name.
Selecting a name should be made with care and consideration. Give your car a name that properly reflects its character. What you name you car should be a proper reflection of its character and performance, and your desires for your car. In general, guys names are for guys' cars, and girl names are for the cars that you ladies drive. Aside from that, selection of a name is wide open. But, be careful....cars have feelings, too.
Here are some of our thoughts in selecting an appropriate name for your car:
  • Don't select wimpy names. That might give your car a personality complex and it will perform accordingly.
  • Do give a strong, aggressive name to sports cars and cars with powerful engines.
  • Sleek, sexy feline-like cars savor names that begin with "lady".
  • Old junkers are proud just to be around. You can call them just about anything. Try "Tramp", or "Old Yeller", "Old Blue".
  • Pick names to reflect your personality.
  • "Pickemup" trucks must have country names.
  • Don't give common names (like Joe, Mike or Sue)  to luxury cars. They beam over names like Reginald, Archibald, and Crystal.
                                 Mine is Brutus!

Air fryer or crock pot? Air fryer or crock pot? Will have a cup of coffee and think about if I have time to go in spa before church.

Don't worry about the typeset.

LOL I haven't named my car but my GPS has a name: "Angel". That's because she watches over me and gets me to the right place. (Most of the time) :)

Dinner looks yummy! I want to make all kinds of "fried" foods in there. "Fried" okra is next. We shall see. :)

It's just too bad the black community especially doesn't "get it" that it has been the Republicans all thru the years who have fought for them! It was the Dems who enslaved them and kept them down, period!

Angel is a great name, T! And yes, educating people is difficult especially when the libs are teaching in the schools and only tell the students what they want!!! xo
