Throw Back Thursday ~ Jo Co Fair ~ Bad Poetry

Good 64º clear sunny morning. Topped at 98º yesterday but we are in for triple digits for the next few days.
Happy Throw Back Thursday....
Here's Tucker 7 years ago at the beach!

Breakfast yesterday included a fruit tartlet from Omaha Steaks. You keep it frozen and put in the microwave for 1 minute 10 seconds. OMGOOOOOD!!!! That and two eggs microwaved for the same amount of time and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. OINK!!!

I got my electric bill.. I LOVE the Mitsubishi Heat and AC units. I have been running the AC 24/7 and the bill is only $110.01 !

Yesterday was fun. I met up with my pal, Karen at the Josephine County Fairgrounds at 11. It was a good day to go, as it will be lots warmer now. I tried making a Smilebox of the photos I took, but having one problem after another, so it will have to wait. Here are a few of the photos I took.

At the Republican booth I took Karen's picture with her son's picture, Herman our state senator:

The "house on the dunes" is a painting Karen's friend Marilyn entered...

I've been considering the Mitsubishi units, too. How many do you have? Wonder if just as effective in extreme heat of AZ.

Your poem gets the blue ribbon and gold medal for charming. No need to submit my humble pie, stumble pie, born because eye with stye. (see, that IS way worse).

Perhaps it is a change in the wind- but there is smoke on the horizon. Hope it isn't a new fire.

You can certainly get a free estimate from your local heating/ac guy, GS. I have 3 units...living room, dining room, and up on the landing at the top of the stairs. Initially it was expensive but the savings over that time is amazing. xo

Oh L, I hope no more fires, but that one at El Cajon is HUGE. xo

Well over a month ago we had 50 solar panels installed on our roof! As yet they haven't been turned on. There are many hoops to jump thru before all is said and done and SunRun will then come out to turn them on. Can't wait as during the summer our electric runs on average $700 per month! :(

Our friend Araceli, her 3 yr old son and mother are evacuated and staying in a shelter. They have a new home in Victorville and they had to get out! Her hubby is on a business trip in Reno! :( John told me to offer our home to them but they have had many friends offer. They were featured in the paper. You can see them on my FB page.

Now please write and tell me how to cook a "running yoke" egg in the microwave. I get those fruit tartlets but mine are apple.

That painting of the house reminds me of the house in the movie Psycho!

T, I pray for your friend's that their home is not lost. Also, I hope the solar panels work wonderfully well. I heard they do.

Pottery dish and saucer, spray dish with butter spray, put in two eggs and top with your fav salt and pepper, pierce yolk once with sharp knife tip, put saucer on top, microwave 1 minute, let sit a minute. I cook my eggs 1 minute 10 seconds, for a soft but not runny yolk. xo
