Good 46º cloudy morning. Wind got to howling last evening and then the rain
came. We only got about 1/10". More expected today....
Here is a super short video of the 4th inning Dodgers vs A's game when Kirk
Gibson hit the home run....
This is indeed interesting... World's oldest dog dies...
Yesterday I went into Grants Pass. Stopped to drop off some stuff to
Jennifer at the Kitchen Company ...
Then to Brian's office to give him some things....
Then to Safeway for groceries...
When I got home Mike was here doing some weed-eating and leaf blowing.
He'll be back when the weather is better and do some mowing, as it looks like
rain on and off til the middle of next week.
Here are two funny things...
Historically this date...
1945 –
World War II: Führerbunker: After
learning that Soviet forces have takenEberswalde without a fight, Adolf
Hitler admits
defeat in his underground bunker and states that suicide is his only
recourse.
.......too bad he wasn't caught and put in an oven to die!
JUSTICE.
2000 – In a pre-dawn raid, federal agents seize
six-year-old Elián
González from his
relatives' home in Miami,
Florida.
Commentators have suggested that the Elián González affair may have been
a factor in voters' decisions in the 2000 United
States presidential election, which could
have affected the close outcome in Florida. Al Gore's handling of the matter may
have been as great a factor as anger by the predominantly Republican Cuban
community over the boy's return to Cuba. Gore initially supported Republican
legislation to give the boy and his father permanent residence status, but later
supported the Administration position. He was attacked by both for pandering and
being inconsistent.
2008 – The United States
Air Force retires the
remaining F-117
Nighthawk aircraft in
service.
And births
this date include....
1906 – Eddie
Albert, American actor (d. 2005)
1936 – Glen
Campbell, American singer, musician, and
actor
1937 – Jack
Nicholson, American actor, film director, producer and
writer
Dinner was reruns. Chicago Fire and Chicago PD on the TV. Chair. Wine.
Ahhhh......
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.

Earth Day and...
National Jelly Bean Day
National Jelly Bean Day is a time to enjoy gobs and gobs of jelly beans.
Anyone who loves jelly beans, knows they are not just for Easter. Sure, they are
very popular at Easter. But, they are also enjoyed year round. The flavors are
limited only by the imagination of candy makers. If you've never enjoyed the
multitude of flavors in a box of gourmet jelly beans, the we suggest you head
right out to the store and buy some.
Jelly beans date back to at least the 1860's. Advertisements promoted
sending jelly beans to Union troops fighting in the Civil War. The original
candy maker is unknown.
In my kitchen I kept a jar with Jelly Bellies in it. When I babysat our
little Alex she would always ask for some. She loved them. That is what I
nicknamed her.. hence the email JellyBeansBobo !

Hello Jelly Beans Bobo- LOVE your story.
The "other" 1988 World Series reel- Gerry's brother faced 5 batters in 1.2 innings. Struck out 5, no runs.
Gerry got hooked on Jelly Belly Beans earlier this year. Tom's farms stocks separate flavors- we plump up the selection with favorites.
I don't buy jellybeans anymore, L, because I'd eat them all real quick!!! xo
