Good 46º sunny clear morning. We hit 91º yesterday, a record for this area for this date.
From the radar.... nothing close yet...
Ok, so without any details, this might give you a hint as to what I did
yesterday:
Ok, so back to normal.....
I posted the following on my blog 3 years ago... was just reading it and
thought I'd share it again....
On Tuesday I left the Bohemian where I had lunch with the girls and
stopped to drop a prescription at my pharmacy in RR. Leaving there, a woman was
walking along and made a sudden right turn towards the car lane where I was
driving. She never looked up. She was far enough away so I just continued on...
as I passed her she screamed at me, "STOP!" I rolled down the passenger side
window and said, "What? You think you're at f**king Disneyland?" I know. But
idiots think everyone should pay attention to what they are doing and they don't
have to be accountable and they all think whatever they do they have the right
of way! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Then she yelled..."BITCH! And your big black truck!" LOL. I said
back, "And your shoes are ugly!" (She was 30-ish, really heavy, and had on
bright pink tennis shoes.)
Then she just stepped right off the
curb immediately in front of moving traffic!! Two cars had to quickly stop and
sit and wait for her to cross in front of them. No crosswalk there! She needed a
citation, big time! And an attitude adjustment! I'm still smiling. That was
fun!
Historically this date..
Cary Grant
told me once that she was a real piece of work and he couldn't stand
her!

National Garlic Day
National Garlic Day promotes the many uses of Garlic. And, there certainly
are many uses. It's a vegetable. It's a herb. It is used in recipes around the
world. Garlic has been used medicinally for thousands of years. And, Garlic is
believed to ward off evil spirits. About the only negative thing you can say
about it, is that it can negatively affect an otherwise romantic evening.
As a medicinal herb:
Phytochemicals in garlic are believed to provide protection against heart
disease and cancer. Specifically, stomach and colorectal cancers.
Helps to fight off colds and flu.
Lowers blood cholesterol levels.
Reduces the buildup of plaque in arteries.
Used as a treatment for acne and warts.
Used for toothaches
Celebrate National Garlic Day by using it heavily in your meals and snacks
today. Spend some time researching its medical benefits. You might find you are
adding more garlic to your menu everyday.
Did you know? We all have
fears. As a matter of fact, there are so many phobias, that psychologists can
hardly keep track of them all. Just so you are well informed, Alliumphobia is
the fear of
garlic

What a miscarriage of justice that Manson is still among the living! I read about Manson and his life of crime on your link. No wonder he was such a monster considering his childhood. He and his murdering group should not be breathing air and being supported by our tax dollars! :(
Ashley Judd is an extreme lib activist. :(
Thanks for the the info that happened on this day.
I'm surprised that you didn't list the Oklahoma City bombing that happened on this date in 1995. Horrible horrible event.
Well, now I'm depressed. Think I'll go eat some garlic! LOL
XOXO Trisha
So many of Hollyweird's are activists, T. I have a shirt that says "No One Cares What Actors Think" !!! xo
Garlic- A long time ago, I forgot some roasting in the oven until they were black lumps. Like coal. Burnt. Smelled so bad, not skunks nor vampires came near our plot.
