Good 37º cloudy morning. Some snow on the tip top of my mountain.
Yesterday's breakfast..... I made the eggs in a regular porcelain cup with
saucer for a lid to show you what my pal Pat Reardon (LASD ret) did. You can do
it this way, if you don't have an Egg-Tastic!
First I microwaved the risotto... this is SOOOOO good, I get it at
Safeway.
Then I sprayed a cup with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, added in 2 eggs.
I didn't want to scramble them, so just left them plain... with a bit of bacon
salt....
On went the saucer on top and microwaved for 1 minute 15 seconds. These
came out perfect! Yolk just a bit runny. If you like yours "hard" then cook for
1 minute 20 seconds and check them. I found 1½ minutes was too hard for
me.
All the deer that were in my pasture on Monday was just about like
yesterday morning, only it was 17 Canadian Geese!
The two who regularly hang out here:
And 15 more that were invading territory!
Friday was back therapy day. Then off to Grants Pass to pick up some DVDs I
had copied and pick up some birthday cards. Also to Ace to drop off some
crossword puzzle books for Tall Paul and get some cracked corn for the birds!
Saturday and Sunday I was busy with "projects", bills and organizing my income
tax stuff. Borrrrrring......
Just wanted to pass this on. My back therapist recommended this BioFreeze
product to eliminate pain.
Works on joints and muscles. I got the roll-on and put it on my back,
shoulder, and arthritic old hands when needed. Works GREAT!!!! Check it out: www.biofreeze.com
Also go to www.biofreeze.com/wheretobuy for
a store near you. Most therapists and chiropractors up here sell it.
This guy is so totally amazing. 3D drawings. You will be blown away! Thanks
Gar Austin (LASD ret) for sharing!!!
The other day my washer sprung a leak. Not much and never could figure out
where it came from. So with patience I started up the machine with minimal water
level and just "rinse and drain" cycle. I watched it carefully. Apparently
Bruiser was also interested and he laid down right next to the machine....
nut!!!
The washer seems fine now, as I did a couple regular loads yesterday and no
leaks!

Sunday I went to Tap Rock with Jennifer and Mike.
They have a new "smokey bacon bloody" so I tried it (so did Mike and
Jennifer) OMGOOOOOOD!!!! Addictive!
Sunday is the brunch buffet...
Biscuit and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, prime rib, and fruit....
Brian Jen and kids were up north at a gymnastics competition with Sami.
Prior to Sami's competition (she did GREAT... 7th out of 21!!) the family
went to the Newport Aquarium...
Our waitress, Brittany, and I took a selfie to send Brian since he said he
was jealous we were at the brunch~
Brittany and her sister Jessica are friends with Brian and Jen.
Yesterday back therapy and a bit of shopping at the grocery store. I was
not in the mood to cook so bought out of the refrigerated section some of Resers
Chicken Broccoli Cheddar Bake. Looked good.
Heated in the microwave, set it atop some snap peas for crunch...
It was AWFUL! I was so disappointed. Resers stuff is normally pretty good.
This wasn't. Ah well..... back to cookin' my own!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

I owe the rosarian at the Huntington carrot cake. Can't do it today- but I can contact him to set up appointment):- That should count.
When you micro the eggs, do you pierce the egg yolks? I find otherwise mine explode.
That bloody Mary with bacon looks really tempting. The plain version was my go-to drink for Sunday brunches before I discovered mimosas. Now it is usually just plain grapefruit juice.
No, L, I didn't pierce the eggs. Maybe the heavy porcelain saucer on top keeps them from bursting. Try cooking less time and let sit for a minute afterwards. xo
