Good 42º cloudy morning.

Breakfast was plain low fat yogurt, tomatoes, sprinkled with bacon salt, and celery.

Yesterday the gloom lasted all day and we warmed to 63º by afternoon. No sun, like Adam the weatherman predicted. Supposed to stay cloudy and possibly rain again on Friday.  

I had a doc appointment in Medford. Did that and then a blood test. And then Costco. Got some great stuff.... and lobster tails on sale. Didn't get home until about 5pm and was exhausted. So happy when I got everything unloaded and it was "time for wine".

A text from Kristen re her latest scan .... the doc said the pain she was feeling was from scar tissue from the tube inserted between her ribs when they drained the lung. No fluid build up in the lung now. WHEW!!!!!!!

In Rogue River the power company will turn off the power to the downtown area on Friday night (some said about midnight) and remove an osprey nest. I had not ever noticed it before... so here it is... just after you come off the northbound off ramp, straight ahead.. see, just to the left of the billboard sign...

Apparently no osprey are nesting in it right now.

He was a mining engineer for the Lavender Pitt copper mine.

Today is a holiday with a crunch. One might even suggest that it is a corny holiday. Well, that's okay because today is National Tortilla Chip Day. Just a few decades ago, Americans seldom ate Corn Chips and Salsa. It's popularity has grown immensely. Today is a tribute to that rising popularity of one of America's favorite munchies.

Did you know? The corn chip recipe was brought to the U.S. from Mexico by texas businessman Elmer Doolin.
