Today's football games..

Yesterday grandson Jack's Eagles Marching Regiment was at San Juan Capistrano for band competition finals... Kristen texted these...

Sadly out of the 15 bands competing, Jack's Eagles came in 9th. To go to the finals your band has to be 8th or above. Next year Jack!!!!

Here are the entry and exit doors at Weight Watchers... LOL

Dinner last night was an artichoke. Cut off the stem so it sits in the pot of water, but also add the stem. They are as good to eat as the heart! I put my artichoke in the water, drizzle on olive oil, and sprinkle on Lawry's garlic salt..

The dipping sauce was a mix of creamy garlic sauce and mayonnaise...

Two of the cheese stuffed biscuits from night before last were baked instead of waffle ironed!

I LOVE artichokes and this was good, except the muffins weren't what I wanted. Will keep experimenting!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Football Sunday. Ciao.

Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day

What's that in the back of the refrigerator!? I don't want to find out. Don't open it...... the odor may overwhelm you!!! Hold your breath, scrunch your nose if you must, and get to the task.

Everything in your refrigerator was once a fresh, healthy food, ready for your consumption. It may have been a tasty leftover, intended for later enjoyment. Unfortunately, over the course of weeks or more, things get pushed to the back of the refrigerator and slowly transform into something impossible to identify.

We've all run across items in the refrigerator that once were tasty food, But, now, they are some dried out, mold covered nasty, that you remove and dispose of at arms length.

Who wins the prize for the worst refrigerator surprises? Most often, it's workplace refrigerators.

Use this day to clean out your refrigerator, top to bottom. When it comes to food safety, we fall back to the old saying " When in doubt, throw it out!"

Was at the Olympic stadium in Athens Greece a few days ago. Loved Greece. On a Greek isles cruise. Currently in Malta. Heading to Spain.

I know you went to Greece several years ago and loved it. It has been a great trip.

OOPS! I did miss that line in the blog. The guys were all in here talking to me while I was trying to read everything. So sorry the band didn't score higher but they did have a great season anyway. He's so cute!

Happy Anniversary. November is a good month to be married. It rained on our wedding day- and snowed on our honeymoon.

I have frozen artichoke hearts. The plan is to dip in tempura and deep fry. Will let you know how they come out.

Mmmmmm L, I love tempura! Sounds wonderful. xo
