Rain! ~ Clouds ~ Rainbow ~ Sunday Football ~ Bruiser's Calendar ~ WWI Vets of San Gabriel Valley ~ Sue Ballet

Good 38º cloudy starting to drizzle morning. YES. They said a 60% chance of rain today.
Yesterday stayed pretty cool, 61º, and cloudy....

Yesterday's sunset...

Radar over us right now..

I went outside to take a picture and there was a rainbow!

Today's football:

Bruiser?

Yesterday I went through the box from my sister Betty. In it were a number of old personal phone books. Some names familiar. The 1987 rooster of the
Veterans of World War I
Barracks 736
San Gabriel Valley
My Dad's name on there as well as listing him as Commander. A few of the names were crossed off, as I suspect they had passed away

... and some photos of my ballet recital at the San Gabriel Civic Auditorium, 1959 (wow, I was 14 years old!) .... I'm on the right and for the life of me, can't remember my partner's name! The boy in the middle was the son of June Nichols, David. June had the ballet studio in Alhambra.

In this one I am second from right.

Later it was reruns for dinner and chair, TV, wine.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

Ohhhhh I love the ballet photos! Bring backs such memories for me! That's about the age I quit ballet because I thought the kids in high school would make fun of me! :( Soon after, that ballet movie with Ann Bancroft came out and then ballet was the rage! :)

Were you dancing a particular ballet in those photos? Wish I had photos when I danced with the Whittier Ballet Company in the Nutcracker. Drat!

Good that you are getting rain! It's cloudy and overcast this morning but doubt it will rain! :(

Yes L, my feet are good. Adagio In a Pas de Deux, is what it is called with male and female as partners. I had a great teacher for that, it was Mr. Ernest Belcher. He was Marge Champion's dad. Mr. Belcher knew all about anatomy and how to keep the feet happy. xo

Trish, I don't recall the music to that particular dance. I kept up with ballet and teaching pre-schoolers tap dancing through most of high school. No time to join the GAA and play sports.

POURING rain right now! Doing the happy rain dance! xo
