RAIN! ~ 10-17 ~ Cash&Carry/Costco ~ Girl's Lunch At Kaleidoscope ~ Loot ~ Simon & Pizza ~ Pasta Day

Good 58ºdrizzly morning! RAIN!! Last night about 6pm I heard it raining, called PJ and shouted "IT'S RAINING" ! She said she had just been outside and it wasn't then, so back out to look. I think that time we got about 23 drops. Then in the night I heard it coming down more, and it's doing that again now. Maybe 1/12" of an inch. Current radar:

Since it's been raining I can't get this song out of my mind. I just keep singing it over and over!
OH MAN, I LOVE this rain~!! Enjoying every minute of it!
Yesterday humid and 88º.

"10-17" = pick up papers
"10-17A" = are you holding papers?

'1017' was also Brian's  USMC Boot Camp Platoon number.
Sorry, yesterday I forgot the Thursday night football score:

Yesterday I picked up PJ and we met Nancy and Jennifer in town. Two cars and we headed to Costco, with a stop first at Cash & Carry so I could pick up my sugar free coffee syrup... Peanut Butter, Pumpkin Pie, and Gingerbread....
That and a little sugar free coffee creamer... HEAVEN!
Then it was Costco.......

Lunch was at Kaleidoscope Pizza on Crater Lake Highway..

PJ's pizza:
Pesto Supreme — Sun-dried tomatoes,
Kalamata olives, feta, artichoke hearts,
mozzarella, provolone and pesto

Jennifer's pizza:
The Popeye — Spinach, roasted red peppers,
red onions, mushrooms, feta, parmesan, oregano,
mozzarella, provolone, garlic and olive oil + Italian sausage + Alaska sauce (pesto)

Sweet and Savory
Mixed greens, mandarin oranges, avocado, bacon
bits and our lemon poppy seed dressing. Topped
with red onions and Gorgonzola crumbles

Jalapeño Hummus Dip
An innovative twist on a Mediterranean favorite with
a hint of jalepeño. Served with diced Romas, diced
red onions, black olives and chips or pita bread.
GREAT lunch .... that and adult beverages on their covered patio. Super day ladies! Thanks!!!

Then we all headed home to put away our Costco loot.... Other than the normal stuff I get I found these... sounded and looked good...
I also got some of my favorites... Asian Chicken Wraps...
One of those for dinner!
And... I saw this ginormous jar of Greek stuffed olives I couldn't pass up!

Too many sick sick leaders in this world who feel it is their right to "adjust" populations. Don't get me started. I am so glad Saddam is off the face of the earth and waiting tables in Hell!

1966 – A fire at a building in New YorkNew York kills 12 firefighters, the New York City Fire Department's deadliest day until the September 11, 2001 attacks.

1989 – 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake (7.1 on the Richter scale) hits the San Francisco Bay Area and causes 57 deaths directly (and 6 indirectly).

While traveling to my sister Marion's, in Lake Tahoe, my son Brian and I are listening to the World Series ... the earthquake struck, unbeknownst to us, and the radio went off. We thought it was because of a bad reception area. Arrived at my sis's and she was jumping up and down on the deck shouting, "The Bay Bridge has fallen down, the Bay Bridge has fallen down!" Gosh, we both wondered what in the world ... had she been smokin' her socks????? Lordy. So, after that, we sat spellbound in front of the TV for hours watching all the mess in San Francisco unfold. My nephew Andy at Candlestick Park on the upper deck said the whole deck was swinging back and forth. Fortunately it didn't fall. Wow.
David, Jim, Marion, Bill, and Andy.... 1988
