Sunrise ~ Cooler Day ~ Naysayer ~ Egg-Tastic ~ Bananas ~ LASD Active Shooter Video ~ Joe Friday vs OVamit ~ Dale Yellin ~ Monday Football ~ Waffle Iron Potatoes ~ Clams & Linguini

Good 41º who knows what it's going to be today morning.
This morning's sunrise 6:55 looking NW:
... and looking SW at Fielder Mountain:

Wow, yesterday's weather was so totally unexpected. By noon it was only 66º. Cloudy and a breeze. SO NICE!!!

I had to do a quick drive into town and by then it was 69º and I got 6 sprinkles of rain on the windshield! Stayed cool all day, door and windows open with a super cool breeze. Sleeping last night under my down comforter...HEAVEN!

First of all let me say, if you want to be a negative piece of work and make negative comments to me about my blog, then DON'T READ MY BLOG!
                                                                        No kidding!

Breakfast... two Egg-Tastic scrambled eggs (add a spoonful of mayonnaise to make them extra creamy) and an avocado. OMGOOOD!!! I also added a little Sriracha with the mayo! PERFECT!
According to my friends Jim and Sally Harper (Jim-Wilson S'63) they found the Egg-Tatic at Wal-Mart in the "As Seen on TV" section.

Speaking of avocados, pal Trish Bowler asked me about keeping bananas from aging... here is several ideas.. the plastic wrap one is the best:

PICTURE OF THE DAY ...

This is a public service video put on by the LA Co Sheriff's Department. Watch and learn. With all the craziness going on with shots fired everywhere, this is a good lesson. I've seen it before but never thought of putting it on my blog. Thanks Ron Wisberger (LASD ret) for this!
As Ron said, "this is directed at you who are non Law Enforcement oriented. It's put out for your own survival, no matter what action you take. I encourage you to send it on to others on your list of family and friends."
Yesterday was "cleaning day". So much to do, so little interest! Did get my big bathroom clean, mostly before the back gave out!
Also I tried to copy an item and send it to my computer with the new printer/copier/fax. It would not work! Frustrated to no end. I finally hooked up my old HP copier and got it done. So don't like this Canon!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........
Now, thanks to John Anderson (LASD ret) we have this interesting video to watch... a conversation between Pres OVamit and Badge 714, Sgt Joe Friday! As Dave said, Joe should have run for President!

Today is pal Dale Yellin's (SR SEB Motors ret) birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALE!!!! I hope you have a GREAT day!
We need to have a martini, Dale, and celebrate!

Monday Night Football:

Dinner was a piece of meatloaf I got out of the freezer, can of gravy, and some tater tots..
I heated the meatloaf in the micro, put the tater tots in the waffle iron that had been sprayed with cooking spray, then pressed down on them (using a pot holder), cook until crispy...

Warmed the gravy and poured it over all..
           OMGOOOD!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

Good Rainy Day to you.

What I am looking forward to most is some actual cooking. Thanks for keeping me inspired with your blog entries.

God bless our law enforcement. The first responders- including the dogs. Shame that animals have better manners than some people.

Back to cooking L!!! I hated not cooking when I was on that Nurtisystem diet. Had to eat their food. Boring! Yes, we like animals much better than most people~! xoxo

About your Blog, we love it, I look forward to reading it everyday.

Today you mentioned using Mayo in your eggs, I always add some when I
scramble the eggs or add them to a scramble made with left over french
fries, bacon or sausage.

I like the idea of using a waffle iron (we have the same one you do) to cook
the tater tots, I use them to make a scramble, after they have been broken
up a little.

Any way keep up the good work, it is fun fun fun....Dave and Pam

YES, as they all said above, I can't imagine why anyone would make negative comments re your blog. WHY in the heck do they read it? Must be a Dem who doesn't like your political comments. I say tough!! :)

I watched both videos and posted them both on my FB page. Soooo good! Thank you LASD for a very detailed and informative video. All the way thru I kept thinking if someone in that situation had been armed they could have taken down those shooters! I am glad that my hubby is always carrying!

Thank you for all the banana information. I have wrapped the stems of the whole bunch in cellophane but it didn't work. Didn't realize that you wrap each individually.

Hope you get some of this glorious rain up there!

XO Trisha
