RAIN! ~ Poleeeece Comments ~ Crock*Pot Stuffed Cabbage Casserole ~ Bridal Fever

Good 63º fresh clean air some clouds morning! Rain. Heard it about 3:45am. Rain gauge says 3/4". YIPPPPEEEEEE

The sunset last night with all the smoke...

Breakfast...
Greek low fat plain yogurt, banana, fresh lemon juice drizzled over all. Lettuce, fresh lemon juice, garlic salt, chicken thigh.

I have decided, without a doctor's analysis, that I have ACD! I do know a couple of people who have OCD. They are obsessive about a number of things. I am not obsessive, I have Acute Cooking Disorder!
Yesterday didn't heat up as fast as is has been. By 11am it was only 79º. Prior to that I took Dude for a run down to the mailbox. He was a happy camper. By noon it was only 80º. Nice. By 2:30 the pressure was dropping, but less than 'chance' of rain at that time. It was 89º. I had been running around, packing stuff to get rid of, vacuuming, etc. Humidity inside was 43% and I was sweatin' like an old pig!

From my friend Karen B...

These are actual comments made by Cops that were taken off their car videos:     (or so it says)

1. "You know, stop lights don't come any redder than the one you just went through."

2. "Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch after you wear them a while."

3. "If you take your hands off the car, I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document."

4. "If you run, you'll only go to jail tired."

5. "Can you run faster than 1200 feet per second? Because that's the speed of the bullet that'll be chasing you."

6. "You don't know how fast you were going? I guess that means I can write anything I want to on the ticket, huh?"

7. "Yes, sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help. Oh, did I mention that I'm the shift supervisor?"

8. "Warning! You want a warning? O.K, I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll give you another ticket."

9. "The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not. Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?"

10. "Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides, eat cotton candy and corn dogs and step in monkey poop."

11. "Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven."

12. "In God we trust; all others we run through NCIC." ( National Crime Information Center )

13. "Just how big were those 'two beers' you say you had?"

14. "No sir, we don't have quotas anymore. We used to, but now we're allowed to write as many tickets as we can."

15. "I'm glad to hear that the Chief (of Police) is a personal friend of yours. So you know someone who can post your bail."

AND THE WINNER IS....

16.. "You didn't think we give pretty women tickets? You're right, we don't. Sign here."

1 head of cabbage, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 cup minute rice
1½ cups water
6oz tomato paste
½ cup tomato sauce
2 T. vinegar
1½ t. Worcestershire sauce
1½ t. salt
½ t. pepper

In a skillet cook the beef until the beef is no longer pink. Drain and put into slow cooker. Add cabbage, onion, green pepper, and rice. In bowl mix water and tomato paste until well blended. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour sauce over mixture in crock pot and mix well. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.

Later I tried working on the DVR again... and I got it working!!! Saw a Hallmark movie... Bridal Fever. Delta Burke was in it. OMG has she changed!!!

Lemon Juice Day

Lemon is one of my favorite flavors. Love it in my morning green tea, love to make a salad dressing with lemon juice and mayonnaise and seasonings.

Good morning Sue. The last of the Meyer lemons are hanging from the tree. Sounds like time to pick them.
That casserole sounds like something Gerry would like.
I've always wondered how much that fire in the commercial affected Michael Jackson.

The picture of John McCain- its the posture as well as the looks. The confidence and bravado of masculine youth.

The quotes are funny. A wise woman once advised that life is how we choose to look at it. Choose to start the day with a laugh. It prevents constipation.

Yes, make lemonade today!!! Mmmmmm....... "a laugh" prevents constipation? LOL. Not. But, it's funny!!! xo

LOL Those police quotes were too funny! I posted that photo of the food on the radio car's truck on my FB page a few weeks back. Yup, John loved his job! He would still be working there had they not been required to retire at 60! Glad they changed that as 60 is too young for a good cop to retire! I complained to Baca about that several times! :)I told him now Pomona PD has gotten an excellent and brilliant guy who COULD have still been with LASD if they would have changed that dumb rule in time! So they did! Too late!! Baca already knew about John working for PPD.

Becky says she is OCD and I think she's right. I used to be that way but as I have gotten old I figure what the hell! lol

Love the sound of the cabbage casserole. I have several varieties of the recipe.

Seems you enjoy the same kind of movies I enjoy. I love the sound of this one with Delta Burke.

Sooo happy you got rain! I heard on the news that fire fighters from all over the world were coming to help. As far away as New Zealand. Great!

XO Trisha
