Clouds ~ Smart Dog ~ Raman Burger ~ Laura Kath ~ Bruiser ~ Elephant & Turquoise Bracelet

Good 52º cloudy morning.

Yesterday afternoon we got some pretty clouds and the temp was 89º

This short video shared by pal Ann Ramirez (LASD ret) wife of Gabe.... Smart dog!!! (No, not Gabe! The dog in the video!)
                                    http://1funny.com/smart-dog-ball/

I posted the following Raman Burger a couple years ago, but was talking about it with Jennifer and Nancy so decided to post again. REALLY GOOD!!!

I took the shrimp seasoning packet out and just cooked the noodles as the package said.... let cook 2 min rolling boil, drain and cool 15 min... sprinkled on some garlic sea salt.

One package of noodles will make 2 bun halves... mix one egg in ... coating all the noodles.... spray a deep narrow bowl with cooking spray, divide the noodles between two dishes, top with Saran wrap, add weight to top... like soup can, jelly jar, etc... put in refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes...

Drop the noodles out onto a hot pan with oil and fry until golden on each side. Drain on paper towels. I added a slice of cheese to the top of each as they came out of the pan...

Once the burger was cooked, and I made it about the size of the Raman bun and thin... I topped it with mayonnaise and tomatoes...sea salt of course!

Yesterday the Bruise slept ALL day. He went outside about 5pm yesterday and never came back. He was still gone when I went to bed. I woke up about 3am and looked out. There he was on Dude's bed on the porch and ready to come in. He did want out this morning but then was just sleeping on the stacked chairs. Came in after that and slept on his spot by the window!

From there he moved to his window chair!
He went out again for about 10 minutes and was right back in sleeping in the rocking chair! Cuddled on the bed all night!
In the mail yesterday was an envelope from my friend, Pat Goslin (hubby, Jack, was Avalon Fire Chief) She had gone to a local fair for the school and bought me this bracelet! It's turquoise and little elephants! I LOVE it!

She's having a rough time right now, going through dialysis 3 times a week. GREAT gal!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

National Parent's Day
National Parents Day is a special day to honor your mother and father. And, its a time to celebrate the family structure and family values. The family unit is an important structure for the health of children, and the nation. That structure, and those values, are established and nurtured by your parents.
Today is not a day of gift giving. That's for Mother's Day and Father's Day. The best way to mark this day is by spending time with your parents doing something fun. Its also important that you let them how how much they are loved and appreciated.
Okay, kids everywhere....... its National Parents Day. Go out and honor mom and dad!

The Origin of National Parents Day:
Research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day. Most likely, this sweet day was created by chocolate confectioners.
In 1994, President William (Bill) Clinton proclaimed the fourth Sunday in July as National Parents Day

What a lovely bracelet. Your card yesterday brought a smile to all our faces. That ramen burger sounds like a nice change to the usual.

Love the bracelet but then of course I love anything with elephants. Nice gift to you.

Glad Bruiser is back home safe and sound. Don't you wonder what the heck he is up to when he goes off like that. Just glad he didn't bring home any "gifts" to leave at your door. lol

Sorry I haven't commented in a few days but have had my hands full with babies around here. They are still sleeping right now. They go home today.

XO Trisha

Well, having been feral for so many years, it's still in Bruiser's blood to hunt. He is happy here and I know he'll return. Still, I worry. You know.... Understand about the babies. Lots of work!!! xoxo
