Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner ~ Chicken Thighs ~ 1970 Memories

Good 61º clear sunny morning with 58% humidity. Prediction for 98º today.

Breakfast yesterday.... left over salad, deviled egg, and a chicken thigh...

What a treat yesterday. At 11am it was only 82º outside and a cloud cover and the inside of the house was cool!!! By 1pm still some clouds and 94ºand by 3pm it was 97.3º and at 4pm it was 99º. Then it got real windy! Nothing like hot wind!
In the morning needed to make a quick run to the market about 8:30... Greek yogurt, eggs, and boneless skinless chicken thighs (for Dude). Got everything right off except the meat department was sold out of the thighs. OH NO. So I rang the butcher's service bell... In the shop I could see what appeared to be more thighs being packaged..

I found out from Karla, asst. mgr at RR Rays, that Jeremy had left for a few to pick up a fellow employee. I must have waited 20+ minutes. So I stood there playing with my phone....

Finally he was back, so apologetic, and packed a couple of those for me right away!

Came home and put them in my casserole Crock*Pot with a container of chicken stock, on high for 6 hours.

Lunch yesterday... Greek yogurt, strawberries, blackberries, a banana, and some Laney Honey...

This I have seen before... but posted by Miss Bonnie and I watched again. It cleans out my eyes! John Wayne and all these people, 1970:

OMG, I LOVED Dean Martin. His voice was HEAVEN! AND Ricky Nelson. Just about every one of these folks are no longer with us. Sad.

Dinner was some of Omaha Steaks roasted vegetable medley, potatoes au gratin, the last deviled egg, and carrot slices. I dipped the potatoes into some Delouis Sauce Aïoli I got from Harry & Davids. (It's a French garlic mayonnaise)

I wasn't in the mood for cooking and the Omaha sides are all cooked either in the oven or the microwave! EASY!!
Then it was a Hallmark movie and an episode of Blue Bloods. Excitement through the roof!!! My "kids" stayed close...

All I know. Happy Monday. Nuff said. Ciao.
