Turkey Nap ~ Soapbox ~ Egg & Veggies ~ 6 Easy Hard To Open Hacks ~ Maggs ~ Baked Honey Garlic Chicken ~ Kettle Corn Drink

Good 48º foggy (again) morning. Got some rain yesterday starting around 3pm. Rained for a while but really not enough to measure.

Yesterday the turkeys were all exhausted from who knows what and taking naps near the trees....

This came from friend Hilomi..... LOL!!!!!

My friend Cathy lives in California and unfortunately has a governor in the same (let illegals have anything they want!) category as ours. Oregon Gov Kitsblabber, married twice, divorced twice, and now living without the benefit of clergy with his gf, all the while screwing Oregon.

.. Mr. Brown-Out is screwing California in the same vein, bankrupting the state and giving away assets they do not have!
And... as I said after the 2012 election.. If you don't like what I have to say about it, f**k off. Drop me from your email list. Unfriend me on FB. Stay out of my face with your liberal idiosyncrasies! I am a dyed in the wool Republican believing welfare is only for those in "need" and everyone should work and just because you have money and earned it by working, making jobs, and paying your share you are not a "bad guy"!! Business owners are heroes. Our military are heroes and should be treated as such, with FREE medical and leaders who don't give out our military secrets and a budget to keep them safe. Illegals in the country should NOT be given Social Security, driver's licenses, welfare. We MUST enforce our immigration laws and the hiring of illegals must STOP!
Ok off the

Breakfast yesterday was some of the stir fried veggies and an egg..... YUMMMMY!!

This from Tally Huntoon... some good ideas... well, except for the rubber band on a jar lid....
https://screen.yahoo.com/buzzfeed/6-easy-hacks-hard-open-170309635.html
I bought some grip drawer liners and cut some up into rectangles and use that to grip the lid... works perfect and you don't have to fight with a rubber band!

Three years ago today Maggie was comfy on her porch bed, while snow was all around.

Later..... I was in a cooking mood, so made
Baked Honey Garlic Chicken:
1 # boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into bite sized pieces
Sea salt and fresh ground pepper (and a little garlic salt)
1-2 eggs, beaten
Panko
Line a baking sheet with foil and coat with cooking spray. Season chicken bites with salt and pepper. Working in batches dip chicken in beaten egg and then into Panko, pressing to coat evenly. Place on baking sheet.
Preheat oven to 400º

Honey Garlic Sauce:
1/3 c honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 T soy sauce
1 t Sriracha
1 T cornstarch
1/3 c water
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1-2 t toasted sesame seeds (400º for about minutes...watch)

Bake chicken pieces until golden brown - about 15-25 minutes. Flip chicken half way through.
In medium saucepan over high heat combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, and Sriracha. In small bowl mix cornstarch and water. When honey mixture boils, add cornstarch mix and stir until thickened. When chicken has cooked, remove from oven, place in large bowl, drizzle with sauce, and gently toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with onion and sesame seeds and serve over rice. I didn't mix the sauce with the chicken, instead drizzled it over the chicken when in the serving bowl..

Will make this again and again. Love the chicken bites! Sauce is awesome!!!! Used a mixture of rice medley and some yellow saffron rice.

Last night's game.....

Before dinner I made a new drink. When I was at the liquor store in Rogue River the owner was telling me how he loves the Buttered Popcorn Vodka (I made him realize I was the one who suggested they get some in the store!) and he likes to mix it half and half with Black Velvet Toasted Caramel Whisky. Makes a drink tasting like Kettle Corn!
He was right! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

All I know. Nuff said. TGIF. Ciao.
