Thanksgiving ~ TBT ~ Christmas Countdown ~ The Bruise ~ Bill & Jeannie ~ Football ~ Turkey Soup

Good 46º cloudy morning. Supposed to rain today. At 5am it did. For 4 whole minutes! Now the weather prediction is for "cloudy" only and rain tomorrow. Sheeesh................

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

THROW BACK THURSDAY

Paul Harper was a Reserve Deputy. He played with William Holden in The Wild Bunch ... and a number of other movies.
He was also in a Pace commercial... "New York City?" "Get a rope!"
In this photo he's putting handcuffs on me. Ha!
Christmas countdown:

I had the TV on the DogTV and I was reading while the Bruise was in my lap. He was so intent on watching the TV with the dog noises and cat noises.... too funny! Dude never looks at the TV. Maggie would when there were animal sounds... Here is their ad for DirecTV... cute!!!! Watch the video.   http://dogtv.com/landing/directv/

Today is a special day... my BFF Jeannie and her Bill Patterson (LASD ret) are celebrating their 22nd wedding anniversary.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS!!!!

I know what they are doing today..... Bill is watching football and Jeannie is taking down the Fall decorations and doing laundry. Try and hold the wild abandoned celebrating down to a low roar, guys! ♥ :o)

Football today.....

Yesterday I cooked the eggs to devil today. I also dumped most of the broth from the giblets and the pan broth into the crockpot. I added some cut up turkey, the garlic that was inside the turkey, some fresh cut up carrots, 2 cans of sliced mushrooms, and a can of quartered artichoke hearts. Then added in some Harmony House vegetable soup mix and some Harmony House spinach.
It's all dried. A cup equals 6 cups fresh. It can be purchased here:
or here direct...
Then added in some of the cauliflower and some fresh broccoli. Added in a box of  Swanson Cream Starter... it is DELISH!! and some Bacon Crumbles (Costco), garlic salt, sea salt, and Sonoma pepper.

So, set the crockpot on low and let it all cook....

Had a bowl for dinner. OMGGGOOOOOOOD!!!!! Think I'll have some for breakfast!
Good wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving for you all.

Now where's that pie? OINK OINK.....
