10-22 The Idiot ~ Sunset Solar Eclipse ~ Guacamolé ~ Salmon Filet ~ Nuts

Good 51º still too dark to see morning. Yesterday it hit 68º barely for a few minutes then slipped back down to 67º. Had some rain. More on the way... for the moment the radar is on the east and the west, but not overhead ....

10-22 in radio speak means "cancel".

Listen to the end. It's only 1 minute. (Thanks Ron W!)
Wish we could 10-22 this idiot:

We will be having a Sunset Solar Eclipse tomorrow...

What a pathetic waste of a life... 34 years in jail.

Yesterday I had some ripe avocados in the fridge so decided to make some guacamolé. I cut, seeded, and cut into strips the avocados. The skin peels off way much easier if they are in quarters.

Mashed the avocados, added some Hickory (low sodium) Bacon Salt (http://www.jdfoods.net ) and Costco (Kirkland) bacon crumbles..

Next was some cheese and Lemon Sea Salt Flakes
                                                  OMGOOOOOOD!!!!

Dinner... I roasted a piece of salmon Dave and PJ gave me. 400º for 25 minutes. Drizzled on olive oil, pepper, and some lemon sea salt. Sauteéd some sliced mushrooms and piled on the guacamolé! OUTSTANDINGLY GOOD!!!!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

October 22nd

National Nut Day is today. It's a little kooky and crazy if you ask me.
One can go a little bit batty contemplating the meaning of this day. Our research came up empty on information about this day. So, we can't be certain as to the meaning of this very nutty day. There are two very obvious possibilities:
1. This day honors (???) all of the nutty people in the world. It gives recognition to all the kooks, loony birds and daffy people in your life. Show them you care today.

2. This day celebrates nutritious and healthy nuts (food) of all kinds. Celebrate today by eating lots of nuts, either as a snack, or in baked goods.  May we suggest Chocolate Almond Ice Cream?
Of course it is always possible that this day celebrates the "Nut" that screws onto a bolt for fastening things.

A couple of nutty facts:
  • Peanuts are not really nuts. They are Legumes, a member of the "Pea" family.
  • The center of seeds, like pumpkins and squash, is called a "nut".
Have a happy National Nut Day !!

What a sad story about the famous sisters. I guess it isn't uncommon to be estranged from a sister.

Your dinner looked yummy.

Oh that video makes me crazy! That jerk can NEVER accepted responsibility for anything! That video says it all, doesn't it? Speaking of nuts and bolts, that man has a screw loose!!
