Birthday today of friend and ret LASD, Ed Chenal. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ED!!! Ed was in Class 126 with Dennis Slocomb and George Collins.
Ed and his wife Leslie and their 6 grandchildren. Beautiful!

Jack Fimple the former Dodger catcher from 1982-1987 as you know works now for the pest company I use. He's also got a contractor's license and I have asked him about putting on some new doors on the barn. He dropped off some traps Saturday and left me his autographed baseball card. Eat your hearts out friends that are Dodger fans!!! LOL

Here is Jack today with his beautiful wife Gillian and their son and daughers.....
THANKS Jack!

Lunch yesterday was tomatoes (natch) topped with broccoli rice...

Then dinner was a 'clean out the cupboards and fridge' meal... First I sauteéd some broccoli stir fry (broccoli, snap peas, carrots) and some chopped zucchini in a bit of water and olive oil. Drained in colander. Added more olive oil to pan and sauteéd sliced mushrooms. Set aside. Cooked pasta, and drained.

To the pan I added the fire roasted tomatoes (no need to drain) and the Roasted Garlic Alfredo sauce. Then in went all the veggies.

Then in went the pasta, the broken up crab, and bacon crumbles. Heated through.

OMGOOOOOD!!

That and a glass of the Santa Barbara Chardonnay Nancy gave me for my birthday. YUMMMMM

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

The day was created by the United Nations. It is promoted by the UN's UNESCO. According to their website: "The aim is to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities and societies."

For more information, see See the United Nations UNESCO page on International Literacy Day.
PS.  If you are reading this, then you can and should celebrate International Literacy Day.

Yikes 2 more days. I expect you to sing me the SOW sista song. LOL
Your lunch and dinner looked good, but the wine looked the best.
Jack has a nice looking family. Sure hope he can catch all those critters for you, and how nice that he will hopefully fix your barn doors. Yeah
I guess I will celebrate literacy day, I got all the way through it!
Have a wonderful day! xo
