RAIN! ~ Bruiser ~ White House Adam Henry ~ Horse Rescue ~ Grants Pass Day ~ Cherries Jubilee

Good 60º raining 79% humid morning.

It's raining, it's pouring.
The old man is snoring.
He went to bed and bumped his head,
And he wouldn't get up in the morning.

Rain started about 6am. Still coming down. YES!!!!

When I went out to take a picture of my mountain, there was Bruiser out hunting in the pasture. When he saw me he came running!!!

He was soaking wet and needed a toweling off! Nut.

Good grief! Here is the President giving his "latte" salute to the Marines. What an ASS!!!!! Absolutely ZERO respect shown to our military!!!!!!!

I received this video of a mom and daughter making a wrong turn and finding a starving horse. This is moving and the ending is perfect! Thanks Deeewayne Honnee for sending this! Oh, and get out the Kleenex!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAN!!!

Yesterday I took my car into Grants Pass for service.

Had a nice chat with two gentlemen in the lobby. One man's son had been a Covina Police Officer for 22 years. Was t-boned in his radio car in an intersection. Broke 3 bones in his neck and he's been retired. I also saw Mr. Gary Williams (LAPD ret.) and his bride Betty shopping for a new ride!

Then a stop at Safeway for fresh veggies ...

PetCo ...

for American made jerky strips for Dude. They had this 3 year old cat for adoption. She is adorable,

gray and white, and soooooooooooo sweet and loving. I wanted to bring her home in the worst way!!! They also had some funny rats...

Next stop Halloween City ... lots of fun stuff in there!

Then to Rays ...

for chicken thighs (2 for 1 sale).

Home and all the loot in and put away, then had a nice chat with BFF Jeannie. Was going to make a pizza for dinner but no energy. Will make it today. Gonna be a seafood/veggie pizza.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy
Day. Ciao.

National Cherries Jubilee Day will make cherry lovers jubilant. If you enjoy cherries, you must absolutely love this day.
Cherries Jubilee is easy to make. All you need is a can of cherry pie filling, some cognac (or brandy) and vanilla ice cream.
Make today as sweet as a cherry. Enjoy National Cherries Jubilee Day to the max!
Cherries Jubilee Recipe:
Recipe Type: CherriesFlambeDessert
Yields: 4 to 6 servings
Prep time: 15 min

Ingredients:
1 can (16-ounce) cherry pie filling
1/2 cup brandy
Good-quality vanilla ice cream
Almonds

Preparation:
flambe
In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat the cherries.
In another small saucepan, heat brandy (it won't flame unless it is heated).
Spoon ice cream into goblets and spoon heated cherries over ice cream. Pour the heated brandy over the warm cherries and ignite. Please read and learn how easy it is to safely Flambe.
Sprinkle with sliced almonds and serve.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your friend and my FB friend, Jan!!

They are calling that "salute" by Obama a "latte salute". Well the truth is it was the Chi tea he drinks. I was so disgusted that he did that! He shows his disgust and no respect for the military in every thing he does! What a piece of human debris!!

Yup, that's how I really feel! Ha!

WOW, you sure did make the rounds yesterday! No wonder you didn't feel like cooking! Edda and I shopped at two stores and I bought them out! HA! I am glad I had leftovers to fix for dinner cause this old lady was POOPED!

Hugs, XOX Trisha

Personally I could care less what he drinks... he could drink cat piss for all I care! Arrogant Self-serving (Just the first letter of those words!) xo

We make our own dog jerky from turkey breast. The texture is much lighter- less of a choking hazard for small dogs.

Company coming- but the housekeeper didn't- so it will be cherries- something for company):-

I'm going to have to go through my cupboard and see if I have any cherry pie filling. Might make a cobbler. xo
