 ..... beach fail......

Two special birthdays today.... high school pal and owner of Jerry's John Deere tractor... Jon Harting. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON!!!! I hope your day is special. I know you probably have to work ...... but that will soon pass.... retirement!

It was SOOOOOOO great seeing you when I was down in So. Cal recently! Next time Linda joins us!!!!

Today is also my pal Patty's daughter in law's birthday... Linda Kuehl.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA!!!

How cute you were all bundled up in fur.. this was at a January gathering a couple of years ago!

This is interesting.... more of this later. Shared by my high school pal, Greg Lundell:

I've learned that I like my teacher because she cries when we sing "Silent Night".
Age 5
I've learned that our dog doesn't want to eat my broccoli either.
Age 7
I've learned that when I wave to people in the country, they stop what  they are doing and wave back.
Age 9
I've learned that just when I get my room the way I like it, Mom makes me clean it up again.
Age 12
I've learned that if you want to cheer yourself up, you should try cheering someone else up.
Age 14
I've learned that although it's hard to admit it, I'm secretly glad my parents are strict with me. (You see, if our parents were strict with us... we in turn were strict with our children!)
Age 15
I've learned that silent company is often more healing than words of advice. (Amen!)
Age 24
I've learned that brushing my child's hair is one of life's great pleasures.
Age 26
I've learned that wherever I go, the world's worst drivers have followed me there. (This continues to happen every single day!)
Age 29
I've learned that if someone says something unkind about me, I must live so that no one will believe it.
Age 30

Ok, another morph. Such fun to do..... Tucker on his birthday and Sami on her's.

Thought you'd get a kick out of this Gator.... (his daughter and son-in-law are RCMP!)
Jerry had a Sgt at Temple who gave this to him...
This was Jerry's....

My little display....

What an a**hole!

Apple Nachos.....

Slice green apples, squeeze lemon juice on slices so they don't brown, drizzle on caramel sauce, mini chocolate chips, and top with crushed/chopped walnuts. Or ...... do your own thing... use white chocolate chips or peanut butter!! Instead of walnuts, chop up almonds or pistachios... Experiment!

All I know. Happy Tuesday. Nuff said. Ciao.

Hammock Day

Summer is in full swing. It's time to slow down and to relax. During the Dog Days of summer (and all of the other summer days, too), there is no better place to slow down and relax, than on a hammock.
Hammock Day is appropriately celebrated right in the middle of the Dog Days of summer (July 3 though August 11th.
Hammock Day exists to enjoy summer as it should be enjoyed. People celebrate Hammock Day by spending as much time relaxing on it as possible. Getting out of your hammock to get a snack, or your favorite summer beverage is okay. But, it is not a day for work. Cutting the lawn is forbidden on this day.

Love the pic of Linda wearing the same mink coat with fox collar trim that I have. Belonged to my mother. When we girls went out to our Christmas luncheon last year I wore a brown mink that was mothers. Well I posted it on FB and I took some heat from some animal lovers.
Heck I told them I didn't kill those animals nor did I buy the coats! I feel I am honoring them by wearing their beautiful fur, and my mom too. jeeeeze!

It was great meeing Mr. John "Deer" at our luncheon while you were here.

Now tell me, what was that suitcase you have on your little display? That is so sweet.
John has some big time police hats from Canada. A friend of his is a RCMP and sent them to him over the years. Guess we should take them down from his closet shelf and take photos. hmmmm

XO Trisha

I have a little suitcase sitting atop a larger one sitting atop a trunk. Just a good place to put stuff on top as well as keeping "stuff" inside!

Yes, do take pictures of the hats. You know Gator will be thrilled to se them! xo

Your Shrine to Jerry is nice.

My dogs are shocked. They thought every day is Dog Day.

Well, L, when you have dogs (and/or cats) it is Dog Day or Cat Day!! They rule! xo
