James Garner ~ Sound ~ Dogs In Hot Cars ~ RiceARoni/Veggies/Chicken ~ Keeper/Bridey Morph ~ Donut House Morph

Good 56º clear sunny and gonna get high 90ºs again, but heading for a cooling trend tomorrow for a few days...

COLDEST USA Cities....

So so sad to read that James Garner (Maverick, Rockford Files, and a fav movie Murphy's Romance) died last night in Brentwood at age 86. Police said it was "natural causes".

I figured out the sound problem on my new computer. YIPPPPEEEE

(thanks Erika for the happy chick!) I, dummy that I am, had the wrong plugs in the wrong spots. Sigh....................... so after diligence and patience, I figured it out.

Nancy wanted some of these and I needed some more. Will keep in car and put on any car that has a dog in it during the summer!
Then I'll find out who owns the car and give them HELL! If that doesn't work, I'll call the police!

Dinner...
Rice A Roni. Sauteéd the rice and pasta as per instructions on box, in butter. Put in rice cooker with recommended amount of water, seasoning packet, and about 2 spoonfuls of crushed garlic. OMG did it ever smell good when cooking...

Next the veggies and canned chicken...

In a large frying pan went the mixed veggies, green beans (cut smaller), cut up tomatoes, and the mushrooms and chicken. I didn't drain either, as the juice from both would steam the veggies... put on the lid and cook 10-12 minutes on med high...

Then in went the rice....

Stir everything together, put on lid and heat through. When I plated it I topped it with grated Parmesan. YES!!!!!!

Historically.....

I made this morph of Jennifer's dog Keeper and her cat Bridey... I haven't done this for a very very long time so need to practice more...

This one is a donut house in Torrance California and morphed to the Winchell's that was in Temple City (our fav)

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

SAD TO HEAR ABOUT JIM.

I WORKED ROCKFORD AT LEAST TWO DOZEN TIMES. HE WAS SO
COOL. HE EVEN GOT OUT IN THE STREET AND HELPED ME
DIRECT TRAFFIC!

WHAT YOU SAW ON ROCKFORD WAS WHAT YOU GOT IN REAL
LIFE.

So sad...James Garner was a favorite of mine. Loved the Rockford Files and his camera commercials. Oh, and the Notebook.

There are a lot of us who are sad today because of losing James. xo

He will always be Maverick to me. Honestly I didn't realize that he was still living. RIP James!

Love love the Rice-A-Roni creation! As you know it's my family's favorite side dish.

I am wondering why I didn't receive this in my email this morning. hmmmm Well I found it on FB. Glad you are up and running with sound again!

It was my distinct privilege to meet James Garner at a Warner Bros.
picnic in 1958. He and Jack Kelly were on horseback, dressed in
their Maverick attire and signing autographs. I was thrilled to be
given a "Maverick" belt and then to have Garner sign it simply "Jim Garner".
The belt hung on display in my bedroom for several years, and hopefully
somebody else now has it as a tribute to Jim. RIP

Mr Garner was a guest in our Wardroom aboard the USS Saipan, LHA-2, in Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1980.

Quite the gentleman !

He shall be missed.
