April Fools ~ Sunset ~ Green Pea Salad

Good 37º very cloudy gloomy  April Fool's Day!

Talking of fooling.... here's a video of a guy who was tailgating this women who decided to video him... he gives her the big finger and then fate stepped in.....

Historically this date........
1891 – The Wrigley Company is founded in Chicago, Illinois.

1893 – The rank of Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy is established.
...... I just don't get it.... Chief Petty Officer sounds so petty.

1924 – Adolf Hitler is sentenced to five years in jail for his participation in the "Beer Hall Putsch". However, he spends only nine months in jail, during which he writesMein Kampf.

1954 – President Dwight D. Eisenhower authorizes the creation of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado.

1976 – Apple Inc. is formed by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.

And births this date include...
1929 – Jane Powell, American dancer, actress, and singer

1932 – Debbie Reynolds, American actress

1939 – Ali MacGraw, American actress

1961 – Susan Boyle, Scottish singer and Britain's Got Talent contestant

Pea Salad .. This recipe was my sister Marion's. I love it!

2 pkg frozen petite peas, thawed to room temp (or 16oz bag)
4 stalks celery, chopped
green onions, chopped or red onion (your preference)
3 hard boiled eggs, grated

Mix with about 1 cup mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sometimes she added a jar of red pimentos, drained and/or a can of chopped black olives.

Also, I like to add about 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and crumbled bacon. Or... add shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese or a combo of cheese.....

Had Mike Artoff the plumber out yesterday. Stopped up kitchen sink again. Told him if he didn't come out I'd have to wash my dishes in the bathtub~! Yeah, glad that got fixed. Bout all the excitement here. Hope you have a good day and don't get fooled!

The sunset was pretty last night...
This view looking west towards Grants Pass....

This view looking south....

and 6 of the deer were out... a couple watching me....

All I know. Happy Tuesday. Nuff said. Ciao.

April 1st
National Sourdough Bread Day
My favorite....

I order bread from them occasionally. Great gifts. Whenever I've been in the San Francisco airport I always buy a loaf to munch on. Nothing else needed!

Drat! Having computer problems and couldn't watch the video of the tailgater. It kept stopping.

Glad your plumber was able to come out right away. Out plumber came out yesterday and the Gas Co. guy too. Now waiting for a "door guy" to install new front door hardware.

I think I have your pea salad recipe but will copy it just in case. Yum!

Love seeing your wildlife!

Thanks T. Sometimes on those videos if you hit the pause button and let the video continue and then hit the play button it works without stopping. xo
