Since today is a special friend's birthday and it's also National Felt Hat Day....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALE YELLIN!
(LASD Motors SR ret)

Yesterday morning headed out to Safeway early, got there 9am...
Straight to the meat department, asked the butcher guy where the $5 lobster tails were.... "I think we sold out yesterday" was his reply as he headed into the back room to inquire. He came out with two and said they were all that was left! Geeze Louise, guess if they do that sale again I'll get there the first day! Got the lobster, picked up some shrimp (caught in US waters!), some ravioli, meatballs, and came home. Worked on the porch as long as the old back permitted. Washed the covers on Maggie's old dog beds, insides went into dryer to release any hair/dirt/etc, and will take the beds to the shelter for other doggies to enjoy.

Wasn't in the mood to cook the lobster so into the rice cooker went some 'sprouted rice & quinoa' along with diced celery and baby carrots and sea salt/pepper/garlic powder...

In a frying pan went butter, shrimp sans tails, Simply Asia Seasoning, garlic powder, and chives....

OMGOOOOOOD!!!!

Then I watched the Matt Damon movie "We Bought A Zoo". That was fun! I love the animals! And the little girl who played his daughter was sooooooooo cute and charming!!

Happy Birthday Dale. Hope it is grand. Sure like you in that felt hat!
Today is a wild day here. FOOTBALL all day long. By the time the Niners play I will be exhausted. Not to worry, I will have my cheerleading attire on and ready to go!
Your dinner last night looks great. Glad to hear the shrimp was good. Will have to go buy some. Sorry you missed out on the "bags" of lobster. We were so hoping for a lobster party. LOL
Off to start our football Sunday. Enjoy yours, and, as always, thanks for the blog. chat later. xo
