Oregon Fires ~ Police ~ Ballerina ~ Bruise & Dude ~ Cheesecake!

Good 51º smokey cloudy icky morning. Kept AC on all night til about 4am. Off for now, but as soon as it warms and the smoke comes lower will close everything up again.

Here is yesterday about 1pm...

and then at 5pm....

You couldn't breath outside. Even if you don't have lung problems we were told to stay inside with air conditioning preferably!

Brian called a number of his State Farm customers to give them a head's up about the Big Windy Fire near Galice, northwest of Grants Pass, ... a firefighter customer of his notified him of the possibility of it spreading fast towards Grants Pass... so those like Bill and Jeannie and Jen's mom and Jeannie's friend Donna are in the possible, and I stress "possible" way of the fire if it races. It has been compared to the Biscuit Fire. The Biscuit Fire was a wildfire that took place in 2002 that burned nearly 500,000 acres in the Siskiyou National Forest in Southern Oregon and Northern California. The fire was named after Biscuit Creek in Southern Oregon. It 'raced' 40 miles in two days. So, between the Big Windy and the fires in Wolf Creek and Glendale areas north of us, the smoke is inundating most of Southern Oregon. Brian and Jen's friends Sandy and Lloyd have been evacuated in Glendale, north of us about 30 miles.

Ok, change of pace.... we LOVE firemen, everyone does, and we pray for them at this time for their safety,  but then there are the police, deputies, cops, pigs...... we LOVE them too!!!
One of his best....

OMG, this is soooo cute!
