Joke ~ Dude Bruiser Maggie ~ Shopping & Wine ~ Alex & Max

Good 53º morning. Gonna be another hot one...stayin' in today. Got a new "20 minute" soft serve ice cream maker. Gonna mess with that and do some cooking.

This from Cyndi Moreno.... too funny. Thanks for the laugh!
2+2+2 = 7
Teacher : If I gave you 2 cats and another 2 cats and another 2, how many will you have?
Johnny: Seven, Sir.
Teacher: No, listen carefully... If I gave you 2 cats, and another 2 cats and another 2, how many will you have?
Johnny: Seven, Sir.
Teacher: Let me put it to you differently. If I gave you 2 apples, and another 2 apples and another 2, how many would you have?
Johnny: Six.
Teacher: Good. Now if I gave you 2 cats, and another 2 cats and another 2, how many would you have?
Johnny: Seven!!!  SIR!
A very angry Teacher: Where do you get seven from?!?!?
A very angry Johnny: Because,. I've already got a cat!!!

Yesterday morning I was sitting here at my desk and looked out... the three of my guys on the porch...

Dude is watching for 'something', Bruiser is hanging out in case there is 'something' and Maggie wants me to let her in!

In the afternoon I paid a visit to Brian's office. Went to the Grange and got a new sprinkler. The silicone in my old one didn't work and it still leaks. Got gas..... gaaaaa, in the $4 prices now. I paid $3.99 for unleaded regular but the diesel is wayyyy up there!  Then met up with Bill and Jeannie at the Elks for a glass of wine. She and Bill had a BLT and OMG Jeannie INHALED hers! I have never seen that girl so hungry! (she saved me the pickle!)
Billi, the girl who is bartender at the Elks is super nice and fun to talk to. She was born in Ontario California....managed restaurants and will be in the Elks food booth at the Josephine Co Fair August 14-17th... see you there Billi!

Jeannie brought me some cucumbers and a green pepper from her garden and a HUGE zucchini! I will be cookin' with that for weeks. Mmmmm..... zucchini bread sounds good. AND cucumber martinis! YUMMMMM...

We had a nice chat and then I headed out to the clock shop to pick up the bacon/egg/toast clock I was having fixed. It is not working, so will have to take it back. DRAT@!

PICTURE of the day.....

My daughter Kristen is painting her house... after she put in a new floor in the kitchen now she's painting the outside! She's also getting help from her kids...and even Alex's boyfriend Eli came over to help! What a nice guy!

Alex posted this on her FB page! Cute.

I am going to "ditto" everything you said about The Nelson's! My all time fav show, loved that family and was crazy about Ricky! Sad to think that David is the only remaining one. :(

I am totally amazed at Kristin She is her mother's daughter all right! What a gal! Love the photo of Alex! Nice boyfriend too!

I had to chuckle when looking at the orange caviar! It reminded me of the day Judy had us over to lunch. She had put it on top of hard boiled half eggs. I thought it was apricot jam. When Edda told me what it was I scrapped it off. No fishy taste for me. I think I gave it to Edda as she loved it.
I did feel honored tho that she served it to us after bringing it all the way back from Russia!
Wish you had been there with us!

XO Trisha

Ditto on everything. Love your everyday critter family hanging on the porch: the extended people- family working away. That hummingbird picture- priceless.
