Powerhouse Fire ~ NY 1939 ~ VW Sculpture ~ Chicken Burrito

Good 46º clear sunny will be hot again morning. Close to 90º yesterday. Bout the same today. Glad to see the drizzle and low clouds in So. Cal helping out that horrible Powerhouse fire!

Burned 32,000 acres already. Unbelievable. Containment is somewhere around 40-60% contained.

This link came from Lynn Helbing (ret LASD) a friend from back in the Temple Station days in the 70's. Thanks Lynn! This video is awesome. People drinking nickel pina coladas at a sidewalk vendor.... old cars.... such fun.

And you won't believe this..... a sculpture made from a 1953
Volkswagen Beetle !!! Just amazing!

Yesterday did some shopping, stopped at Post Office to mail stuff, Ace for a new sprinkler, and then met up with Bill, Jeannie, Dale, and Bob at Shenanigans yesterday for a glass of wine. On the way home bought a roasted chicken. Dinner was tortilla, provolone cheese, jalapeno cream cheese, sweet/hot chili sauce... heated and rolled up. GOOD!!!

TV and a nap in my chair!

All I know. Tucker's baseball game this evening. Nuff said. Ciao.

Well- Don't think we have to worry about 10-cent beer nights any longer):.

Went over the hill yesterday- the air quality from the fire is just awful.

When we were first married- an illegal alien almost made Gerry's blue Volkswagen into a ball. We got lucky- the car launched less than a foot from a pole.

I like Angelina Jolie's hair.

That poor man, Robert Hughes. Too bad they didn't have thyroid meds in those days. Glad to hear he had a good outlook and a kind spirit.
Love the yellow VW sculpture. Amazing.

Din din looked yummy!!
