Bren & Robert ~ Asparagus & Eggs ~ Frank Cuts Up ~ Baked Scallops

Good 34º morning. Yesterday was so beautiful, clear and sunny. Even had the doors open for a while in the afternoon.

I am feeling so bad for Valerie Harper and her "just months to live" prognosis. Brain cancer. She was such a funny lady on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda. Sad.
She was on The Doctors yesterday with her husband and talking about her disease. Very strong and uplifting.

On this date in 1983 my friends Brenda and Robert got married. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS!!!

Historically this date....
1912 – The Girl Guides (later renamed the Girl Scouts of the USA) are founded in the United States.
1918Moscow becomes the capital of Russia again after Saint Petersburg held this status for 215 years.

1928 – In California, the St. Francis Dam fails; the resulting floods kill over 600 people.

2009 – Financier Bernard Madoff plead guilty in New York to scamming $18 billion, the largest in Wall Street history.

And births this date include....
1923 – Wally Schirra, American astronaut (d. 2007)

1931 – Billie "Buckwheat" Thomas, American actor (d. 1980)

1933Barbara Feldon, American actress and model

1946Liza Minnelli, American singer and actress

1947 – Mitt Romney, American politician, 70th governor of Massachusetts

1950 – Jon Provost, American actor

Breakfast.... saute asparagus 5 min and then put on lid with heat low for another 5 min so the asparagus steams, mix in eggs, fry. Top with Parmesan cheese and some hot sauce. AWESOME!

Yesterday Frank came up to get the telephone pole that was taken out so he can use it to repair our bridge.... He cut off about 20 feet of it.

Our bridge has some problems....

I read this blog called "Daisy The Curly Cat" and Daisy has a pal, Harly (black & white cat). Daisy is a fashionista. Very cute. Check it out...

Worked on taxes, will do more today and do some shopping too. All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday.

Good morning,

Wow, it seems forever since I have commented.
It is sooooooo very sad about Valerie Harper. She is one strong lady, and has a good outlook. I pray for a miracle too.
Wow, there was one point in Liza's life where she was not looking so hot. Yikes Just my own personal opinion.
The Romney clan sure is a good looking family.
Your creative breakfast looked yummy. Sure beats peanut butter toast, which will be mine this morn. LOL Maybe you should think about opening a diner, and share your creativity with the rest of us???????I know what you are thinking right now, careful. LOL
Okay, off to start my day. Great to be home and catch up on all your blogs. chat later. xo

LOL Jeannie, I have been making that suggestion for years to Sue....that she open her own restaurant! :) Call it: "Sue's Creations"!

Yes, the Romney's are such good people and a beautiful family.

XO Trisha

I feel sorry for anyone so blinded by politics that they could not see the basic goodness of the Romney family. I have nothing but disdain for those who created the words that camoflauged that fact for their own personal gain.
