Feline Face Off ~ Hunter Bruise ~ Hollyweird R's ~ Crab Feed Preview

Good 34º foggy morning. Ugh. Dreary............... again.

I was sitting here at my computer, Maggie laying by my chair, The Bruise shows up and is looking outside when Harley comes up with "get out of my house" on his mind...

I shooed Harley away and let Bruiser out... Harley always wants a confrontation. Bruiser on the other hand wants to be friends. He really has a sweet temperment for being an outdoor feral cat all these years.....

The Bruise had been here continuously for a week. Normally it has been 3, 4 or 5 days and he's off to do whatever he does... Yesterday he showed off his hunting skills and brought this (mouse? vole? mole?) to show me ..
(first two photos taken through the screen door)

"Look what I brought you, mom!"
"Oh, yummy, my son."

.... and then yesterday afternoon he took off and is still gone. He'll be back, he always returns. I just miss him when he's gone. On the other hand, Harley nor Maggie miss him! :o)

You mean to tell me this butt-ugly, hot tempered (documented by a Secret Service friend!!!) lying (nick name "Hil Liar y")
.... is going to run for PRESIDENT in 2016?????? Oh gag me.

...and then you remember how interested she was in her job as Senator...

If the ACA (Arrogant Contemptuous Asshole) in the White House now isn't enough of a problem, then this country would put this explosive irritable volatile unreliable beeotch in the office? OMGHU!!!!

Exclusive, new video -- "The Hillary Shuffle"-- has gone "viral."

Last night's Crab Feed at the Elk's lodge was GREAT!

I have pictures but will post later. I think the lodge did well. They only have a few that are employed (chef, bartenders) and the rest of the dinner was served by volunteers. We were told they had 800 pounds of crab @ $1.99 per pound, which would be almost $1600. Then they had paid reservations of about 244 @ $25 each, which is just over $6000. They also served garlic bread, coleslaw (which was AWESOME!), and beans. Eric, the chef, told us girls what he makes his dressing with... mayonnaise (Best Foods of course!), a little white vinegar, honey, white sugar, little olive oil, and dry mustard. Going to have to work on that. Finely chopped cabbage and carrots. Yummmm.....

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

AWWW The Bruiser is always trying to please mom. So cute. Glad you let him out before Harley jumped him.

Loved reading the list of the Hollyweird "R"s. The only name that really surprised me was Joan Rivers. hmmm

Cake looks good. When I read that you stir the frosting into the mix it brought back to memory the I Love Lucy episode where Ricky and Fred switched jobs with their wives. Fred make a "7 layer cake" which turned out to be about two inches tall. Ricky said well you can put gobs of frosting on top to make it taller. Fred said "The frosting is already in it"! LOL

YUM Your dinner last night looked wonderful! Debbie would have been in hog heaven!!

Funny T you remember that I Love Lucy episode! After the dinner they had some crab left over so they sold 3 pound bags of it for $12! Such a deal!

LOL Sue, I can't help but remember all those episodes. I watched them over and over and over again when I was younger and now Eric does the same. In fact he fills up my DVD memory because on some channel twice a day they play them. I have had to go in and delete many at a time. grrrrrrrr He will have 60 something recorded!!

XOT

Love your stories about your "Bruiser" the feral cat.

My daughter has one - a female that gave her some kittens some years ago. She is fixed now and so are her kittens. Now she has 5 cats.....Her name is Shaster and she always brings her a present usually a mole or a mouse...What fun....
