Again Ice~ Chicken w/Broken Leg ~ Martini ~ Spaghetti Chicken Puttanesca ~ Cheese Day

Good 20º everything frozen (again) foggy morning.

It was soooo frozen yesterday. Every tree was white. Pretty when the sun came out....

And a Robin was sitting in the top of a frozen tree...

Yesterday I was recovering from my cleaning rampage of Friday. I have a pile of stuff for Goodwill, a Yoga mat and DVD for Jeannie, a cool USMC poster for Brian, cooking magazines for Jen, and two big trash bags for our 'sanitary engineers' ! Yesterday I cleaned off the front porch (leaves and stuff off the logs that end up everywhere), and stacked wood. Oh my achin' back!

This girl, Dom, writes a blog I enjoy reading. She lives in New Jersey on a farm but originally from Poland. A beautiful girl who has a horse training business, a neat dog named Herbie, a horse named Ozzy, and a lucky boyfriend, Mike. Yesterday's blog was especially interesting. She has a chicken who suffered a broken leg..... the story will blow you away. So great!

Historically this date....
1981 – Twenty minutes after Ronald Reagan is inaugurated, at age 69 the oldest man ever to be inaugurated as U.S. President, Iran releases 52 American hostages.
.... see, they knew who they'd have to deal with, not like the wuss in the White House now!

And births this date include....
1896George Burns, American actor, comedian (d. 1996)

1920 – DeForest Kelley, American actor (d. 1999)
In the second picture he looks like a tired Dr. Oz!

It's also Patricia Neal's birthday, but I could never stand her!

1929 – Arte Johnson, American actor

1937Dorothy Provine, American singer, dancer and actress (d. 2010)

1958Lorenzo Lamas, American actor

Before dinner I made a Sour Apple Martini (thanks for the mix Patty!)

Yummy!

Dinner was some of the Tyson breaded and marinated chicken, Cucina & Amore Puttanesca sauce, spaghetti, and Parmesan cheese ....

Put the chicken in the oven at 450º for 25 minutes.

Heat the sauce, set the chicken in the sauce and heat. Meanwhile cook the spaghetti 8 minutes, drain. Serve. AWESOME!

The other chicken breasts will be for a sandwich later today.....

All I know. Nuff said. Happy FOOTBALL Sunday! Today we have the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome 12pm Pacific Time AND my Tommy and the Patriots vs the Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium 3:30pm Pacific Time. GO PATRIOTS. Ciao.

mmmm Love the looks of your martini.
You have made me hungry for a spaghetti dinner! Chicken on top is a great idea. I have a recipe for something called Chicken Continental which is like that.

Anyway, I told John about the ball games on today. He asked me what time so I am back on your blog checking. Thanks for including the PST times.
Sounds like the two games will overlap. We will be rooting for your Pats! :) ENJOY!!

Your blogs are wreaking havoc with my weight control plan!

Every time I read one, the food pics look so good that I get so hungry that I have to go downstairs and eat something!
