Videonystagmography ~ Stirfry Soba Crab ~ Peach Salsa

Good 51º clear sunny morning. Cooling off and should only be in the 80º s today. Yeah.

I looked out back yesterday morning and here were the turkeys back! YEAH! Missing was a chick, both hens were there.

Yesterday I went to my ENT's office and a Dr. Rice gave me a VNG test ... Video Nystagmography! Here is a link that describes the test....

OMG, it was weird. With the goggles on the doctor can see what your eyes are doing. There is a long screen that you face with red dots going back and forth and then jumping around. You have to keep your eyes on them. Then he had a machine that blew cold air into both ears, separately, and he monitored reactions with a cover over the goggles so I couldn't see but had to keep my eyes open. Then the machine blew hot air. I said, "I'm gonna be just like a politician, full of hot air!". He laughed. This usually causes the patient to get dizzy. The two cold air and the first hot air didn't produce any dizziness, but the second hot air one did. Weird! I will get the results on the 4th of September. I told the doc, that was worse than going to the dentist!

On my way home I stopped at 7 Oaks Farm and got a freshly picked cantaloupe, some shelled Oregon Hazlenuts, and a couple of red potatoes and a couple of white onions. Their produce all grown there and sooooo good. Ate some cantaloupe right away! Mmmmm......

Historically this date...
1902Cadillac Motor Company is founded.

1902 – Theodore Roosevelt becomes the first President of the United States to ride in an automobile.

1963 – American Joe Walker in an X-15 test plane reaches an altitude of 66 mi.

Dinner was stirfry soba noodles, fake crab, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, olives, and tomatoes. The noodles can be rinsed in warm water to separate them or put in the microwave. They come with their own sauce. I heated all the ingredients except the noodles in olive oil, add noodles, added sauce. Voilá! Good dinner! (You can use real crab if you can afford it.. this fake kind works good for dishes like this. Or use salmon or chicken or........ )
