Queen's Concert ~ My State Farm Agent ~ Shrimp/Asparagus/Mozzarella Stir Fry

Good 50º RAINING morning. LOL. And June continues on as in past years.......

I watched the Queen's Concert Tuesday night. I was soooo not impressed with Paul McCartney. His voice was pathetic. Sorry Paul. Guess I was just never a Beatles fan as much as The Beach Boys! And sad that Prince Philip wasn't in attendance. He's hospitalized with a bladder infection. The Queen looked sad when her son, Chuck <g>, mentioned his dad's absence. What a dork Prince Charles is! Good thing the successor will be Prince William!

... this giggle from my friend Terry Polly (former mechanic at Temple Station!) "Da Pully" .. a nickname affectionately given him by some Deputy named Maxwell! ?

No English dictionary has been able to explain the differencebetween the two words COMPLETE and FINISHED.
In a way that's easy to understand. Some people say there is no difference between COMPLETE & FINISHED. I beg to differ because there is :
When you marry the right woman, you are "COMPLETE".
And when you marry the wrong one, you are "FINISHED"!
And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are ...
"COMPLETELY FINISHED" !!!

1892Benjamin Harrison becomes the first President of the United States to attend a baseball game.

And births this date include...
1848Paul Gauguin, French painter (d. 1903)

1917 – Dean Martin, American singer and actor (d. 1995)
Amazing he lived to be 78 with all the constant smoking he did. Of course, he died from lung cancer.

1940Tom Jones, Welsh singer

He was so yummy.....

and with his wife..... oh do read about his "personal life" in the link...click his name....

1952Liam Neeson, Northern Irish actor
He certainly carried on after his wife's death... but then, here he is just one year later...... (ass)

1958Prince, American musician
.... the more strange you are, the more fame comes your way

I had to go to Grants Pass yesterday for the Law Enforcement/Fire Luncheon. Stopped by Brian's State Farm office for a visit ....

He was busy preparing some advertising information for one of his clients.

The luncheon was at the Elk's Lodge. LASD FINALLY had a good turnout! Yeah, 9 of us! Normally there is only 3-4 of us and LAPD has the biggest group. One of our 'team' drove all the way from northeast of Salem! It's a 4 hour drive at 212 miles!

It was a beautiful and clear day....

Dinner was shrimp, soba noodles, asparagus, mozzarella cheese balls, & Goya chipotle sauce all stir fried up together. AWESOME!

All I know. Off to see a man about a horse in Medford, in the rain.... Happy Thursday. Ciao.

At the beginning or finish- no day is not complete without a visit to your blog.It is a one stop purveyor of cultural commentary from the view of one upstanding woman. You.

Guess Mr Neeson decided to give up smoking - not women.
If he could undo his wife's accident- don't you think he would have?

Oh L, you are sweet!!!! Thank you. As for Liam, who knows. People all think differently. Some... "gone is gone" ... I couldn't. Like he left me yesterday. Guess there are varying degrees of "love". xo

I saw Dean Martin up close at the taping of one of his last TV shows, Dean's Place. He was leaning on my chair. He had hands like a plumber. The picture you have shows his hands.
