Deer ~ Baby LBB ~ Basketball w/ a Pro ~ Gingerbread




Good 44º (burrrrr......) morning.











Yesterday stayed cloudy and rainy and WINDY all day. Had a couple claps of thunder.... gave Maggie a 'pill' in case of more thunder, but it never happened...so she slept



The rain gauge yesterday morning and this morning....

 
My mountain 2pm, 4pm, and 5pm.....





Had a visitor... pretty boy.... and Mr. Blue Jay joined him...



.... while this baby (LBB=little brown birdie)  waited for his mom to return with grub...

Here is a picture of some of "Villa's men" who stopped at my grandparents home and told them since they were not citizens of Mexico they needed to leave. They let my grandmother take their picture.... My grandfather was a mining engineer at the gold/silver mines in Cananea ....

On the left is my Mom, Margaret (she was 5), the middle is Uncle Lloyd, and on the right is Aunt Agnes: (holding rifles!!!)

 
They packed up and left Mexico, headed to Bisbee where grandfather worked at the Lavender Pit Mine.

Interesting story about your grandparents. They were lucky they didn't get shot, but now I know where you get your photography skills! Obviously runs in the family!!
You are absolutely adorable in your Hoppy shirt and, it looks like cowboy pants???very cute, and look at your curly hair. Such a looker.
You have tons to look at today, I need to go back and click on some more of the links, but timer is going off for my cake! Speaking of which, that gingerbread cake is mouth watering sinful! xo

Hey girlfriend, don't ever apologize! I guess my grandmother liked taking pictures, and yes, maybe from her I got the urge for photography. Neither of my parents did much picture takine.
Yes, the pants were made to look like chaps. Thank you, re the curly hair, but I think back then Mom gave me permanents! Don't have a clue why.
Also, Mom never made gingerbread cake and Daddy loved it so I was always making it for him. That's how you get to be the "favorite"!!
