Blue Bird ~ Cloud Progression ~ Mediocre Chicken ~ GREAT Chocolate Parfait

Good 44º very dark and cloudy morning.

Supposed to stay dry today. Hope so. Jason coming up to weed-eat, DirecTV guy coming to fix cable.

ALREADY the first of May! The year is zipping along!

Here are a few more of Ike's puns.....
1. I know a guy who is addicted to brake fluid. He says he can stop any time.

2. How does Moses make his tea? Hebrews it.

3. I stayed up all night to see where the sun went. Then it dawned on me.

Mr. Blue Birdie guarding his house... and giving me "the look"...

Yesterday's progression....8am, 3pm, 4pm, 6pm

I receive the JD Foods weekly bacon report and in this weeks it has a grocer request form. For those of you who want Baconnaise, bacon popcorn, bacon salt, bacon gravy in your local supermarket...

Everything, everywhere, should taste like bacon.
Want a J&D's product to be sold at a store near you? We've made it easier than ever with our grocer request form. Just fill it out and hand it to your local store manager - you'll be helping yourself and humanity (within a 20 mile radius at least). They really work! .

Last night for dinner I made some orange chicken. It was 'good' but sure needed tweaking. Followed recipe ... first time with this one. Baked not fried. Nice, but will work on it before I share, because it has to be WOW to share! I really LOVE Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken*. But, would like to make from scratch...

*a General Mills product.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

May 1st.
National Chocolate Parfait Day

1 (1.4-oz.) package chocolate instant pudding mix
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (8-oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed and divided
3/4 cup chocolate graham cracker crumbs (4 cracker sheets)
1 tablespoon freshly grated chocolate

Whisk together first 3 ingredients in a bowl until blended and smooth. Fold in 1 1/2 cups whipped topping.

Spoon 1 Tbsp. crumbs into each of 6 (4-oz.) glasses, and top with 1/3 cup pudding mixture. Repeat layers with remaining crumbs and pudding mixture. Top each parfait evenly with remaining whipped topping and grated chocolate. Cover and chill at least 1 hour.

(Use fat-free sugar-free pudding mix, 1% milk, light sour cream, and fat-free whipped topping for an equal or better taste and less calories)

Sue,

Glen Ford's only child Peter is a member of the Los Angeles County Republican Party. We have known him for years. He's probably 60 now and is rather hefty! The other day he sent around a rememberance letter about his dad. Nice man.
