Parties Parties ~ Greek Food ~ Chicken Shrimp Quinoa & Sprouted Rice Blend

Good 48º raining (!) morning.

Yesterday was Tom's birthday BBQ and I missed it. Actually I already had plans with Dee, Dale, Joe, JoAnn, Jeannie, and Bill for afternoon martinis and Greek food at the Mediterranean. Also .... Dave couldn't join Tom, Debbie, PatC, Tim, Johnette, and PJ because he was home with a bad cold. Debbie sent the following picture... tooo funny!

************************************************

My high school pal, Nancy (Kujala) Sammons sent this "joke of the day". FUNNY!!!

A car sped off the highway, went through the guardrail, rolled down a cliff, bounced off a tree, and finally shuddered to a stop. A passing motorist, who had witnessed the entire accident, helped the miraculously unharmed driver out of the wreck. "Good grief, mister," he gasped. "Are you drunk?" "Of course," said the man, brushing the dirt from his suit. "What the heck do you think I am ... a stunt driver?

*************************************************

And then Dale Yellin sent the following silly of Mexico's New Threat... short-range missle...

*************************************************

Yesterday we got together to wish Joe and JoAnn Kirk well with their move to Depoe Bay. They will be missed, but we will visit! So, martinis, champagne, wine, and awesome food at the Mediterranean... http://www.themediterraneangp.com/

Bill's martini was a habañero-pomegranate, Dale tried one and lit up on fire! So he stuck to the regular kind. Mine was habañero-mango..............mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Then there was the food........ (My Greece traveling friends you will drool......)Moussaka, Greek Pizza, Ahi Tuna Salad, Egg Plant Parmesan Sandwich, Shrimp Piccata, and a Rib Eye steak...

All heavenly!

Historically this date..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BILL!!!!!

1954Ellen Barkin, American actress

1965Jon Cryer, American actor
I liked Two and a Half Men better when Alan was employed. Now he's just a leach. That sends a bad message.

The other day I made a dinner that was awesome but have just never posted it... Jeannie and Bill brought back from So Cal a bottle of Goya Chipotle Marinade.... So, I marinated some cut up chicken breast and some shrimp for about 30 minutes.

Then I added Panko bread crumbs, Japanese style...

And sauteéd them in a little olive oil.....

I added some cut up Roma tomatoes and the cooked Quinoa Blend...

Oh so OUTSTANDING! That marinade has a good 'punch' of the chipotle! Yummmmm..... I can think of a bunch of stuff to add that too... deviled eggs, potato or any type of casserole, any rice.....

Then, as suggested by one of the girls at the beauty shop, Lisa, I took one of the last two hollow chocolate Easter eggs and cut it in half and filled each half with peanut butter. OMG!!!! Sigh.................. sooooooo yummmmm-o!

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday (?). Ciao.

Fun time last night. Yes, Joe and Joann are really going to be missed, but at least we have a fun place to visit. Something to look forward to. Dinner and drinks at the Med., Yum.
Your dinner you fixed with the Chipolte sauce looked good too. The sauce does have a kick to it, but boy is it tasty.
Looks like you were missed at the other gathering. Man you are a popular gal. Everybody loves Sue. You are so much fun.
Okay, starting to ramble, off to start my day. Have a wonderful one and chat later. xo

Sue,
Your friends look like such fun, especially Debbie! Oh don't you hate when events clash?

Just too much great looking food so early in the morning to see. I don't normslly get hungry untill noon but now I am and it's barely 9:00!!:(

I did not know that Alan Harper was unemployed now. What happened to his chiro business? Guess I am behind on my shows. Hey, he has always been a leach! He makes that show but he used to make me so angry at his cheapness!

Ohhhh eggs benedict! My very favorite! I have that every morning in the dining room when I am on a cruise! grrrr I want some NOW!! Oh well, no muffins nor Canadian bacon! Bummer!

XO Trisha
p.s. Cracked up at the Mexican video!
