I-5 Snow ~ 2 Year Old Jive ~ Red Tailed Hawk ~ Caramels w/ Sea Salt

Good 34º morning. Burrrr.... foggy. Here are a few pictures... the cover over Grants Pass, then I-5 NB crossing into Oregon, then I-5 Exit 1 looking south, and last but not least... good old Hilt! California got it this time too!

Yesterday was nice. Lunch was only 4 of us at our table. LAPD packs them in. One table filled with 8 of them, another with 5 or 6 and an oddball table with a mixture of other departments... Little old us was Jon (Simi Valley PD Lt.) and LASD... Joe, Dale, and me. Only girl .... again! Joe was going to bring JoAnn but she was home packing for their big move to Depot Bay in a couple of weeks. Most of our group are in Laughlin NV for the big LASD Roundup reunion and soaking up that good old Southwest sunshine while we dodge the rain drops! It's always fun to chat about people we know or knew and to armchair critic the latest 'poleece' goings on in the country.... Florida for one and a police shooting recently in Pasadena.

After lunch I mailed via UPS my grandson Jack's birthday presents. The new people who run the UPS store in town are from Downey Ca. We had a fun gabfest ... places and people.

OMG, talk about cute... thanks Ed and Deb Price for this... ever see a 2 year old dance jive...

And... don't forget the Red Tailed Hawk nest...
