AMA's Take on Obamacare ~ Doc and Shopping ~ Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day

Good 39º drizzly morning. Snow on my mountain top!

Yesterday was a trip to Medford to see my cardiologist for my yearly... He said everything looks/sounds good. Trying a different med for my cholesterol as the previous one had some interactions with other meds and doctors were discontinuing them with their patients. So, in three months a blood test to see if this new one is working, then see Dr. Brian in another year. They now do a body mass index and an EKG once a year. UGH.

I copied off the story below and gave it to him. He laughed! Mostly at the last line!!! Guess I know where he stands. He was going to share it with his fellow doctors.

******************************************

The American Medical Association has weighed in on Obama's new health care package. The Allergists were in favor of scratching it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. The Gastroenterologist's had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve. Meanwhile, Obstetricians felt certain everyone was laboring under a misconception, while the Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted. Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, "Oh, grow up!" The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it. Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing and the Internists claimed it would indeed be a bitter pill to swallow. The Plastic Surgeons opined that this proposal would "put a whole new face on the matter". The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea. Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and those lofty Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no. In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in Washington.

The rain was happening as I drove to Medford

but as I crested the hill between Central Point and Medford the rain came down so hard you couldn't see! That was scary!

Then to

with my 25% off coupon and bought

Then to Birkenstock store. They were completely out of Arizonas in my size.
She will call when they are in.

Then to

Then the rest of my errands to the post office, get my prescription filled and to the market for essentials.

After a dinner of "clean out the fridge-hear eat this, I'm just going to throw it out" leftovers we had a snuggy fire and caught up on Tivo'd programs. Today? No plans. Got a new toilet seat to attach and PhotoShop upgrade to Elements 10, so will play with that.

Sue,
What a yummy idea for my brunch! A grilled cheese and cup of soup!

I boiled my ham bone yesterday and soaked white beans. I refrigerated the broth over night so today will scoop off the fat and make the rest.

Couldn't agree more re Letterman! What a total A--Ho--!! White socks with a suit??? Tacky tacky!!

Can't imagine that you have a cholestrol problem with all the healthy eating you do!!

XOXO Trisha

Yes, definitely grilled cheese on the menu! As for cholesterol... it might be heriditary. Who knows, because my folks never had theirs tested. Everything else working fine. xo
