Load the Ark! ~ Mrs. Brown ~ Chicken Salad ~ Doctor's Day

Good 48º (heat wave) POURING RAIN morning. Over a quarter inch in the last hour (.30), over an inch (1.10) since yesterday afternoon. I'm getting the Ark ready! I've got streams and creeks EVERYWHERE!

And I don't have to fill the birdbath!

This from Steve Geon (Wilson W'64) ... a Russian flash mob. Fun!

The use of the 'F' word is in this video, but it's so danged funny..... Mrs. Brown's dog is getting old and the kids are trying to figure out a way to tell her it's time for the pooch to be put down.....
Thanks to Mike Cipolla for this!
BTW, Mrs. Brown is a guy!

Yesterday Maggie and I whizzed to town early and got errands done and then home just as the sprinkles started. They were on and off all day and we got about 1/8" during the day... in the late afternoon it started in earnest. Glad I have no plans or appointments through the weekend.

Dinner was good... I put some cut up chicken breast in buttermilk to soak for a few hours, then drained it, coated with Panko, and fried in olive oil. I made a salad with ice berg lettuce, baby spinach, tomatoes, and celery... topped it with the chicken, some Parmesan cheese, and added Bob's Blue Cheese salad dressing. (We can get it now at Harry and David's. Yeah!)

Historically this date... (Remember.. click on the words in blue and that is the link to more information)

..............and to repeat myself from last year..."(... and the beeeoootch I shared and office with at CF Braun, Patsy Paige, made a horrible remark when I told her the President had been shot .."He deserved it", she said !!!
Of course not to mention that she was lazy, expected pay for not doing a thing, ghetto born and bred ... Oh, and she was extremely prejudicial!" ... sort of like that beeeeotch in the White House now!

Sue,
Loved the Mrs Brown video! I have favorite British TV shows and Eric does also. That was hysterical! When I saw her pic on the email screen of your blog my firt thought was she was a he. Hilarious!
Oh that dinner looked scrumptious! One of my favorite, chicken on a salad. On a cold rainy day hope you had something hot with the salad.mmmm soup.

Are you enjoying the rain or is enough enough? Ours only lasted one day last Sunday.

I hope you blasted that beooootch that you worked with when she said that about RR. What an idiot!!

Hugs, XOXO Trisha

Yes, soup is on my list for today! And I do enjoy the rain. One reason why Jerry and I moved here. We used to sit on the front porch in Temple City when it rained and just watch and enjoy it.
As for Ms. Paige.... I kept it on the down low since I was in an office with just her and I! Too close to have any altercations. I would lay odds if she is still living she's on welfare now! xo

Good morning. Too bad our boat is at the coast, we could all use it. Cliff saw on his weather cam or something, last night, that the highway was closed between Gold Beach and Port Orford, due to the roads caving in. It was only one lane open earlier in the week between Brooking's and Gold Beach. I am glad we are not over there. We are safe on the hill.
That was hysterical about Mrs Brown. The dancing & singing was great also. It sure got my foot to tapping.
I haven't heard yet if the kids or coming up today or tomorrow.
Your yard looks like it could be a river soon. Our yard is standing in water also.
The chicken salad looks good. Not much news going on around here. I still have not got my front deck arranged with the new furniture, but now that my decks do not leak anymore. I can work on that anytime. Off to the shower. Hope we can stay home today. I don't care to go anywhere in this mess. More later, Love you, Patty
