Cold ! ~ Cheerios Crispy Treats ~ Andy Linda ~ Cereal Day

Good 23º somewhat foggy morning. The weather guy said it WAS going to be COLD last night. He was right!
Sure pretty.... but too cold for me!

The appraiser for my re-fi load was here yesterday. He wanted to see everything. We got in the golf cart and went to the pond, to the barn, and back. He took pictures and drew diagrams. Nice fellow. He loved the property. Loved my view. Loved the crazy turkeys that gathered. All the while it snowed corn snow. Oh, and he liked Maggie too. He passed!

Pretty afternoon .....

A few weeks ago Jeannie and I were discussing the peanut butter flavored Cheerios and we were thinking they would make great treats, like Rice Krispy Treats. So.... today I decided to take a crack at it. I had some Banana Nut Cheerios, Peanut Butter Cheerios, dried cranberries, and dried blueberries.

I poured 4 cups of each cereal into measuring cups and added a big handful of cranberries to the peanut butter flavored and a big handful of blueberries to the butter nut flavor. The marshmallows came in a 10 oz bag. I measured them. Too hard to tell what was half, so I counted them. Came out to 39.

2 T melted butter in a large pan
19 (or 20) marshmallows on low heat in the butter to melt.
Add cereal and berries, stir well, put into 9x13 pan (sprayed with Pam) and press into half the pan.

Next the other flavor same way.

Holy Cow.... these are GOOD!!! I had better share them or I'll eat them all! (too bad you are so far away Jeannie!!!)

This is hilarious......

Today two special friends are celebrating 48 years of marital bliss! Ok, you guys can interpret that any way you want. Suffice to say these great friends have been married since 1964! Andy in the Marines with Jerry and Linda is a BFF!
This picture taken a couple of years ago as I cruised through Woodland on my way to Kristen's for Christmas!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY kids! ♥ox♥

Historically this date....
1876Alexander Graham Bell is granted a patent for an invention he calls the telephone.

....and some other stuff happened!

Births this date include....
1934 – Willard Scott, American television broadcaster

1942Tammy Faye Bakker, American televangelist (d. 2007)

How pathetic she looked before she died. That was on one of the late night shows~!

And, I found a solution to Dave and PJ's smashed mailbox...

LOL.

All I know. Nuff said. My new refrigerator will arrive today along with my new bookcase! Yeah! Happy Wednesday. Ciao.

Happy Anniversary to the "kids" - after all these years, they still look so much in love.

The possum moment was too funny.

Once I have my will power come visit me- will try making the treats.

WOW! Yummy! Looks to me like you need to make a trip to the kids house to share those yummies with them. :)

Happy anniversary to Linda and Jerry!

That Reese's Pieces liquor sounds like my kind of mix. That was a funny pic of that opossum in the goodies. and the cherios mix looked like it was really tasty too.
BTW, on Jan.24 my wife and I celebrated our 50th. Sure doesn't seem like it was
that long.
The pics of your place and the cold view of the distant mountains was a really
nice view.
Keep up the good work friend. I really appreciate you and your blog.
hugs, Arlen
