Bookcase ~ Auto Windshield Wipers ~ One Pot Brisket/Veggie/Biscuit Dinner .. Almost ~ Doodle Day

Good 29º foggy morning.

Yesterday was another one of those pretty clear and 70º days. Now snow is predicted! Sheesh....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another on the list of "great ideas":
"A mouse trap placed on the top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Dropped by Patty and Cliff's yesterday to wish them a happy anniversary, drop off some stuff, and picked up the peanut butter vodka Chuck and Linda brought from the liquor store in Hilt.

All I can say is, "I'M ADDICTED"!!! This is soooooo good and certainly tastes like peanut butter!!! I mixed a small amount (1 shot) with some chocolate liquor (½ shot) over ice and it was like liquid Reeces cup!

Then Maggie and I went into town to Ace for the bracket to anchor my freestanding bookcase. On the way home ..... I have automatic windshield wipers. First drops of water hit the windshield and they come on. Scared the s**t out of me the first time they did that!!! So, we're driving along and suddenly they come on. WHAT THE....... !! Then as I thought about it, clear skies, no rain, there was this truck in front of us....

Taaa daaa.... it was pieces of the hay that were coming off the bales and flying through the air and hitting my windshield! Mystery solved!

We came home and I installed the bracket on the bookcase,

arranged the books and have a pile I don't want. Will drop by the library and see if they want them. Then I need to make a trip to the

with a mound of things I have pulled out of cupboards and closets~!

Dinner was some of Billy's smoked brisket (yummmmmy), broccoli, spinach dip, cream of mushroom soup, sweet peppers, Grands biscuits, and parmesan cheese.

Steam broccoli in frying pan with water and some added olive oil, so that when the water evaporates the broccoli will saute in the oil. Add chopped peppers, diced brisket. Stir in spinach dip and cream of mushroom soup. Cut biscuits into quarters and top the cooking mixture and add the parmesan cheese. Put on the lid and let cook, just simmering, for about 40 minutes.

Since the biscuits weren't done or brown, I put them in a hot pan with olive oil, turning until browned.

GOOD!!!

Sue,

Thanks for posting that Reagan video. I will put it on my FB page.

We saw Shirley Jones and Jack Cassidy in their show in Las Vegas. It wasn't too long after that, that Jack died in a fire. Tragic!
LOVED Andy Gibb! Ironic because I just sent you and the girls a video with Rita Hayworth dancing to Stayin Alive by The Beegees!

Hugs, Trisha

Just drove by Charlie Brown Farms yesterday headed home from CA. They also have the best tasting and largest variety of Malts and Shakes of anywhere I've been. Lots to look at in the gift shop and a great place to stop and rest along the highway to break up a long drive. Lots of old type candies there too.. Yummo..!!!
