Geese Chasing Turkeys ~ Flying Dare Devils ~ Pistachio Day

Good 28º frozen again morning. We never did get any more snow yesterday. Just that morning sprinkling.

I was busy rearranging furniture yesterday and going through gift wrapping stuff upstairs and throwing away things I don't NEED! Yeah. In the late afternoon I went up to Patty and Cliff's. We had a toddy and a nice chat. They have been busy going back and forth to the coast so visits have been far between. She gave me some of "her" spaghetti made with "my" marinara sauce to have for dinner. Good! Maggie and Harley and I had a real snuggy fire and enjoyed the evening.

The sunset was 'ordinary'...

.... but a little Towhee was sitting on the garden arch singing to me...

Early in the day the geese were honking for a treat so I went out and took them some leftover stale bread I broke up and some cracked corn... The turkeys showed up too and Mr. Goose was chasing them away!

This from my friend Pat Kelly, a co-traveler to Greece.....

Grab on to your chair, take a deep breath and imagine being there as you watch these "Red Bull" daredevils!

Such a shame they are now 'heche en Mexico'!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr............

The boys used to be mad because I made them wear Sear's Toughskins ... couldn't afford Levis for growing kids back then! Levis and a JC Penny's tee shirt was Jerry's "uniform" until the Levis were made in Mexico! Then he bought Prison Blues ("made on the inside to be worn on the outside") made at the Oregon Corrections Institution in Pendleton. In other words, the USA! http://oce.oregon.gov/products/112

1916Jackie Gleason, American actor, writer, composer, and comedian (d. 1987)

All I know. Nuff said. Happy 'Hollywood-Pats-Itself-On-The-Back-Day! (So much pomp and crap! At least Billy Crystal is the MC and that part will be fun.) Ciao.
