10-6 (Busy) ~ LE/Fire Lunch ~ Houseguest Linda ~ Egg Rolls

Good 42º foggy morning.

Yesterday went to the Law Enforcement/Fire lunch at the Elks. Small group of us LASD folks. All 4 of us, and one guy didn't even sit at our table. We also had Jon of Simi Valley PD and Les of San Diego PD ... along with my friends Dale and Bill. Liz the waitress said there were 6 prime rib steaks avail, so Bill, Dale, and I each had one. Not quite Lawry's, but darned close! Such a deal, lunch with tip is $10 and so was the prime rib. Offered usually is a salad with turkey, cheese burger, and fish and chips. I brought home part of my prime rib to share... Harley and Maggie were thrilled!

Linda showed up about 4pm. We unloaded her car, poured a wine, and chatted. Then we went down to PJ's to pick up the smoker shelves and get the mail..

Jason came up as soon as I got home and stacked firewood on the porch for me
, trimmed grapevines, and cleaned up the messes I had made.

It stayed pretty gloomy and drizzly all day...

Sue,
Just amazing to me that you make your own egg rolls! Lucky Linda who is there to partake of your wonderful cuisine!
What a cute photo of her in the golf cart with Maggie. Does Maggie ever ride in the little tray hooked on the back? That would be a cute site to see.
Now I am hungry after looking at the making of those egg rolls!
Have a great visit!
