Happenin' ~ Cheezy Polenta w/ Garlic Shrimp ~ Raggyann

Good 50º morning. Summer is still here! Patty
said over on the coast it was cold and she even
turned on the heater! Lucky.

Little pink clouds out this morning.

I forgot to mention that Monday I watched a good movie, docudrama, October Sky, about a W. Virginia coal miner's son who becomes a NASA scientist. Starred Jake Gyllenhaal.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0132477/
If you get a chance to see it, you will enjoy it.

Trip to the dentist for my bi-yearly cleaning yesterday morning. A+ report on teeth and gums from the doc. Yeah! See ya in March!

Then an impromptu mini-happening at the Elks in the afternoon ... Joann and Joe are heading to Depot Bay for a week and Jeannie and Bill are going to 7 Feathers to camp out and "read" for several days. So since Jeannie will be gone for her birthday, we had a round of toasts to her advancing age. (? baby!)

How fun that Dee and her girlfriend Kathy walked in too
so it was Joann, me, Jeannie, and Dee ... and the boys...
Bill & Joe.

Happy almost Birthday BFW!

And births this date include...

Interesting his initials were his profession!

1936Buddy Holly, American singer (The Crickets) (d. 1959)

1937John Phillip Law, American actor (d. 2008)

His initials are the same as the "rocket place" in Pasadena!

1954Corbin Bernsen, American actor

Dinner last night was stir-fried garlicky shrimp on top of baked cheezy polenta ... with some of my own tomatoes. (The plant Cindy gave me and so far have had 6 tomatoes!)

I am very very unhappy with the way this site is acting today.
It is not lining up the way I want it to. So, enough for now!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Wednesday. LE/Fire luncheon today.

Sue,

Do you run into friends EVERYWHERE you go? I'll bet you make lots of friends everywhere too. You do have such fun. Sounds like another fun day today.
You plates always look so yummy and colorful! Are your tomato plants planted in the ground or in pots? With all our property and his lovely garden you would think we could have gotten one tomato in two years but no such luck!

I read about the man of October Sky, I will certainly look for the movie On Demand next Saturday night. (Our at home movie night)

Have a fun luncheon today!
XO Trisha

Oh T, wish you were closer. Yes, the tomato is in the ground. It's a cross between cherry and regular. xoxoxo
