Shopping ~ Cucumber Martini ~ Shrimp Stir Fry ~ Clouds

Good 57º cloudy morning. UGH>......... the humidity is 85%!

This cup of hot coffee is makin' me sweat! There is really no forecast for any kind of weather, except for "cloudy" on and off for a week. Highs in the 80's.

LOL, my friend Dan Patz, in Texas sent me the following yesterday...
"We've said it for years, and it's actually OFFICIAL!!!  Texas IS hotter than
!!

The predicted high temperature for Fort Worth, Texas, today is 109.
The predicted high temperature for Hell, Michigan (a small unincorporated community in southeastern Michigan) is 81."
:o(

Here it hit in the high eighties, but the humidity was up so it felt like 100's. Melted all day...........................

Drove to Medford...

I had a meeting with some committee members re the basket we are putting together for auction at the Ronald Reagan BBQ this month. Then off to The Grange

for birdseed and a deer lick... then to 7 Oaks Farm
http://www.7oaksfarms.com/    for corn, bell peppers (50¢ ea), Anaheim peppers, and banana peppers. My total was $4.50.

And I couldn't wait for dinner! Then after 7 Oaks, to the market (fresh mushrooms, 2 Asian dressings to experiment with, bananas, raw shrimp, and Lay's French Onion Dip to be used as a sauce) .. then to Ace to pay my bill and get cracked corn. Home. Ahhhhh...cooool.

So, prior to cooking dinner, news on, I made a cucumber martini.

Dinner was Gigli pasta, sauteéd shrimp, mushrooms, grape tomatoes, garlic and onion, banana peppers, bell pepper, jalapeño, all tossed with Lays' French Onion dip......

Really good!

The lawn will get a beer today! Why not- It is going to be followed up with a drenching of orange scented flea shampoo.

That might not kill the crawling critters - but it might send them wandering off half drunk wondering what happened.

Drunken fleas? Interesting.

i was thinking maybe Texas would be a good place to live, with Oregon filling up with ecoidiots. but I've reconsidered, even i would melt there. p.j.

LOL, yes you would PJ! At least Texas has considerate drivers, nice polite door-opening gentlemen, and good food!
