Happy Birthday Harley Davidson! ~ Peanut Butter Lover's Day

Good 40º morning. Drizzled on and off all day
yesterday and we ended up with about .22" of
the liquid stuff.

Hard to believe it is March already.
Year is going too fast.

Breakfast was some sauteéd left over
chicken and grape tomatoes,
added egg, and then cheese.

Yesterday I paid bills, (Whooppee), made cards, fought with my printer again, did membership stuff for JCRW, went to Ace for cracked corn and a thingy that goes in the toilet tank that covers the hole where the water goes out, and store for sugar for my hummer food.

For dinner I cooked some Quinoa (an ancient grain..gluten free and filled with lots of nutrients) in my old rice cooker. (It's 37 years old and still working like a champ! Jerry and I bought it in Little Tokoyo in Los Angeles) Cooled it and added can of mushroom slices, black olives, diced tomato, diced avocado, chopped cooked garlic, finely diced shallot, mozzarella cheese, and chopped leftover chicken. I drizzled on olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon juice. AWESOME!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARLEY DAVIDSON!
A cranky old man, but a love. xoxo

I am happy to report that as of yesterday Maggie's water consumption has dropped to half. She only drank about 1 gallon of water yesterday. YEAH!!! And she is eating ok. She likes Alpo so 1/3 of a large can for breakfast and dinner. The only treats she will eat now are Newman's Own. She likes the little heart shaped doggie cookies.

"My" geese are getting back to their old friendly selves. Today they came close when I tossed out some cracked corn. The rest of the day the 'played' in the creek in the lower pasture....

And the turkeys are everywhere.
I counted 15 Toms and over 30 hens...

Ok, all I know. Nuff said. Off to RR to
get the old choppers buffed up
and for my 6 month check up.

Happy Tuesday

Oh, yum, peanut butter cookies. I have natural peanut butter and will make cookies today, again, oh yum! Has anyone ever roasted one of your turkeys? What a crowd you have. We're off to Stater Bros and Costco today. Costco's chicken tonight. I'm picking up two so I have leftovers for sandwiches. I'm hungry for pizza, so I think I'll order pizza tomorrow. My favorite cookies, Sandies, are on sale at Stater Bros. today. I think I'll pick up a package for snacking this month. Enjoy your shiny teeth! Hope your check up is great.

No, we never wanted to 'hunt' any critter that comes here. Besides, have you ever plucked a whole turkey? OMG, that can't be fun. I'll stick with Butterballs!!! xo

Good Morning. You are right. Javier Bardem is a Spanish actor. He must have moved to Puerto Rico for some time, because that is where most stories say he's from. As Puerto Rico is part of US- that is HUGE.

Peanut Butter cookies turn me into Kooki Monster!

BTW... it's also National Pancake Day so IHOP is giving a short stack away for free all day today, although if you choose to pay for them, the money is donated to the Children's Miracle Network in your local area. Wonder if they have Peanut Butter Pancakes...???
Here in So Nevada, we are looking at 65degrees today, so I'll be working in the yard trimming and chasing weeds that have arrived VERY early this year in abundance. Then cutting material for a duvet cover for Natalee's King Size bed to match her curtains. Think I'll have lunch on the patio and enjoy some sunshine too. Wish you were here... Hugs...

Sue,
What I have never figured out is that John has a love affair with peanut butter but cannot stand it in a cookie! Go figure!
Interesting birthdays today. Every time I look at Ron Howard I am amazed at all the hair he had as "Opie" and how little he has as a grown man! Super talented guy!
Love Justin Bieber. Such a darling boy. I think his mom raised him right. Hope his success doesn't ruin him. Bieber Fever!!

Your turkeys are awesome! Noooo I would never ever think of roasting one of your visitors either. Heck I couldn't even eat any lobster at my house because it was once alive in my house! :):) I would make a terrible farmer where you raise your own meat!

Good blog! Happy teeth cleaning!!

The thingy is called a flapper and it will dry out if it
left out of water too long. Did you see where San Francisco made everyone in their city buy low-flow
toilets - guess what - the lack of water flowing through
their sewer system clogged up the system with
yuck, and now they have to send millions on chemicals
to unclog the mess. Water is cheaper. Stupid libs.
by the way, your Japanese rice cooker looks just like
ours. I love rice. When I was in Vietnam the other
GI's would complain about too much rice. Not me!

This is the coldest winter in So Cal I can ever remember
and believe me I only have long term memory left. In
the winter of 1948-1949 my family took a Christmas trip
to my dad's hometown in Missouri and when we returned I'm told their was 2 inches of snow in the
L A basin. That I don't recall since I was only 3.
Keep warm and keep in touch.

Your Friend, Ken

I remember that 1949 snow fall in LA too. It was in January because I remember our Christmas tree in the backyard covered with snow. A mean old neighbor boy threw a snowball at me. I was only 3 1/2.

Yeah, "flapper", that's it!!!!! LOL

Ken,

You are so right about the lack of water flow. The libtards say we must save water and they invented the low water flow toilets and now all the waste is getting clogged in the sewer pipes because of a lack of water flowing!! Now they have to spend millions and pour bleach or peroxide or whatever down the drains to move it on down. Isn't it amazing at all the environ laws create more of a mess, tragedies, spending more $$ and even fund the terrorists with money for their oil!! STUPID libs!!
(Example: the dead trees in the forest and mountains that aren't allowed to be cut down and consequently we have huge forest fires killing people and wildlife!!

OK I've had my rant! Thanks Ken for triggering that! LOL
